Great location. Close to all key attractions and eateries. Comfortable and clean rooms. Can't ask for more
Location and being in lovely surroundings in the Old Town. Just off the Royal Mile and a stone's throw from the shops on Princes Street. The view from the window was amazing! Great having tea making facilities too, and the staff are always very friendly.
The bed was a little bit soft for my liking.
We found the location to be excellent and the standards of the hotel superb, our room, although extremely small was lovely, well decorated, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed, from facilities to ambiance. The staff were extremely helpful
Size of room, from the floor plan we had the only room on our floor that was half the size of all the others, squeezed into a corner
very comfortable and spacious limited views over princess street but still nice to have a view. loved the flexibility of a kitchenette and comfortable lounge area. Nice sized en-suite.
Only one disappointment, Bath/shower. Shower is over the bath type but the bath is very high to step into, I only just managed and I am 5ft 11in tall and my wife being shorter was unable to use the shower or bath.
Easy walk from station/bus from airport. Bedroom had fantastic view out over the Christmas market/fairground. Intimate restaurant facility - we only had breakfast but it was well stocked and freshly cooked.
Bathroom window needed painting and a little mould remover on the grouting around the bath would have brought the bathroom up to a very nice standard.
Location was brilliant. Easy access to the old and new town. Our suite was very nice and the best was so cosy.
Slight problem with wifi.
We could hear the noise if the traffic from the street
broken equipment - eg iron with half plug missing mould in shower poor coffee making facility Unhelpful staff
Location was perfect and good view from window, also in old town area or you could walk within 10 mins to Princess street lovely bathroom with a really powerful shower. As it was a very wintry day we could turn the heating up instantly
Was a bit disappointed in kitchen area, it was supposed to be a kitchenette, but in reality it was a tiny sink with a microwave above and a small fridge underneath. Also there were a packet of tomatoes left in the fridge from the previous guest
Distance from bus station. Location Very quite Bed comfy Lovely breakfast
Cleanliness of carpets Heating system Hot water not hot enough for bath Bad fitting windows
staff were really friendly, and check in was really easy. My room was lovely with a great shower and facilities for everything I needed. Right in the heart of the city and in easy reach of everything. The food I had for breakfast was super and really delicious, and a vast range.
It stated I could have room service, but there was no menu in the room nor a door card for breakfast. The aircon unit was quite noisy so when it came on it woke me up a few times.
Great location. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.
Restaurant understaffed so had to queue for breakfast and wait over an hour for hot food. One item then unavailable and one inedible. The one waiter who was on did his very best and removed the cost of one breakfast.
Great bed, location, friendly staff
Overall standard a little bit low. fridge door broken, chipped furniture ,wardrobe door uneven, wooden floor in kitchen area loose and squeaked when walked on,cream carpet had quiet a few stains. Had stay in hotel 3 years ago I felt that this time standards had slipped Overall tired.
Suite itself was lovely & the location was prefect.
Bar closed v early & was a bit disappointed that it was not a double bed but actually 2 single beds pushed together. Quite uncomfortable when slipping in middle.
A great location and the view was marvelous.
Bed could have been more comfortable.
This hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance of most of the main attractions in the old town. Staff are friendly & helpful. Hotel is quite quiet for an inner city hotel which is good.
We had two single beds as we were travelling as friends but the mattresses were quite bouncy & maybe a bit soft (felt like we might roll onto the floor a couple of times!).
Great location, had a great room looking over Princes Street. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Could of done with a pot for the kitchenette.
The view of Edinburgh's Princess Street Christmas festivities
Location excellent, room lovely. staff very helpful and would stay here again.
The location was great but batman needs to brush up on cocktail skills!
Location and decor was lovely, nice quiet and relaxing place.
Cooked breakfast was disorganised
