Was very close to Royal Mile and Princes Street. Perfect location

We were given a top floor room. We arrived at 3pm and it was like a sauna, window was open and a fan was on full power. However we decided to give it a go and see if it got cooler whilst we were out and explore the city. This was not the case. We went down to reception and requested that we were moved as it was unbearable. The member of staff at reception was very pleasant and gave us a room on the second floor which was night and day difference with the temperature. Hotel was quite expensive. our two night stay cost £240 and once that amount had left my bank they still had £290 held on my bank account!! I thought this was maybe fraud until I phoned the hotel and was assured this was normal. Not pleased about that

Friendly staff. Beautiful hotel and rooms. Good location. Comfy beds. Great facilities in room. Very clean.

Restaurant very poor and food and choice for evening meals. Breakfast good.

We really liked the location of the hotel, central to everything. We also liked the view over the city. The hotel is clean and well appointed.

We thought the beds were really uncomfortable and very little storage space for suitcases, so were always tripping over them to get to the bathroom etc. The charges for the phone were excessive, 18 pounds for a 7 minute call to Australia for example.

Beautiful hotel only minutes from the city bus stop and train station.

Should advertise cost of shuttle on website. May have chose a different hotel but the bus worked out great.

When we wanted to add 2 nites, they worked with us to solve it. The staff was always helpful. Joel and Eloise in particular were most helpful.

The shower handle was hard to turn, an instruction card for the microwave and the tub/shower would have been very helpful. Otherwise a great place to stay.

Good location. The room was lovely. Loved the large windows.

The description on the Internet said that the room had "spectacular views", this was not true as we looked directly onto a building wall. It also said that there would be bathrobes and slippers in the room, but there were none.

Great location, friendly, efficient staff and very comfortable room. Had asked for best room as it was our anniversary and certainly we had a room with stunning views although my husband was convinced the room was on a very slight slope and made it difficult to sleep. Had to agree!

The staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful. The service was excellent. The view onto Prince's Street was brilliant. It was 5 minutes walk to the Castle and had some good pubs and restaurants nearby.

Absolutely everything! Staff were friendly and very helpful, rooms were clean and tidy, Excellent location in the Old town of Edinburgh.

Rooms were a little too warm, we had a cooler in the room though.
