The hotel room was fantastic,clean and very modern. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The traditional scottish breakfast was first class. A perfect hotel and location for shops and Castle.

The Hotel is very comfortable, located in the center of the city with walking distance to many places of interests. My room was very nice and clean. All the facilities meet the requirements of 5 star hotel.The breakfast was very good.I was glad to stay there

The hotel was excellently situated was very clean and furnishings were of a very high standard. The facilities in the room included a microwave and kitchen type sink which was very handy. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The parking was difficult and you had to pay a meter but spaces were very limited.

The hotel was in a great location but was still quiet at night. The bed was really comfortable.

We stayed in the executive suite, two single beds joined together, not good!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect, practically on the Royal mile. The rooms were well laid out and nicely decorated. Perfect base to explore the city of Edinburgh.

They had not emptied the bin in our room from the previous guests.

Great location...and very good white-ware provided in the rooms.

This hotel is an example of great "hard-ware" but lousy "heart-ware". While the room had great facilities, housekeeping left my bathroom floor covered in mud, and they did not hover the place throughout the duration of my stay (3 nights).

It is brand new, with perfect location, beautiful rooms, just off the royal mile, within the castle area.

There was probably some problem with reservations and gave us a room (junior suite) which was already occupied. Then they gave us the executive suite (at the same price!!!), a perfect room although with no view.

Ideal location for Royal Mile, and Castle, also on a quiet sidestreet

Very central but quiet. Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again.

great location

Very friendly staff that tried hard to make our stay as nice as possible. Clean beautifully laid-out rooms with excellent in-room facilities. Amazingly close to everywhere you need to be in Edinburgh: shops, castle and Waverley train station. Right next to a main street (the royal mile) but it was very quiet. Loved the way you could hear the pipers when you had the windows open. Would definatley stay again :)

Too much air freshener when we first went into the room, however, when we mentioned it to the staff, they did not use it the following day. It said it was a double bed, but was actually two singles tied together. Please note these are minor points as our stay was first class and would highly reccomend to family and friends.

The suites are very centrally located in the old town. The suite is very tastefully decorated and very comfortable.

The laundry facilities where not available due to breakdown of equipment. No alternative was offered.
