Staff were very warm and friendly. Room was clean and very spacious. Breakfast only up to 10am, especially on Sunday. Having to leave the hotel and go across the road to get breakfast.

Good relationship with cafe rouge opposite Room 1. Is very noisy and the hotel knew about it when I complained. Not sure they should be using the room without pre warning you. I guess neighbouring rooms must be affected by the same noise. The sink and shower drained very slowly, so much so they would overflow if you were no careful.

Very central location to city centre. Eating facilities located across the street, unusual. There was no armchairs in room to relax on. There was no platform for placing suitcases on, the floor was the only place for cases, disappointing for what claimed to be a 4 star hotel.

Location was excellent. Free wi fi. Cafe rouge for breakfast. Good service from reception. Guests in other rooms leaving early are very inconsiderate of the noise they make when others are sleeping.

Great location, lovely room. The internet didn't work in the room I had. I had to go to reception and even there I had a bad connection. This was very disappointing because it was the main reason why I chose the hotel.

Great location: easy to find and drive to, close to the big sights, and close to shopping and good restaurants. Had big room overlooking street, nice bed and bath facilities. Parking was a problem: either distant and expensive all day parking or very expensive closeby parking for only 3 hours.

* Very good location * Very clean rooms * Lack of facilities. There is no restaurant or bar at the hotel not even a vending machine.(you get coupons for breakfast at the restaurant across the road and 25% discount for all other times). If you need a bottle of water after hours you need to go out.

The Hotel was a great value for the price it was clean and my room was large with a good sized bathroom. The staff was helpful. Breakfast was a good and you got to choose from several options. Not a buffet. Though the carpet covered it my room had obvious damage to the floor near the bathroom which seemed fairly significant and made me nervous to walk on. Any noise in the hallway was plainly heard in the room. The location was OK and walking distance to major attractions but a location on the Royal Mile would have been better. I'd rate this hotel more of a good 3 star than a 4 star.

The location is very central. Easy access to shopping, food and sites. The breakfast at the Cafe Rouge was excellent . The staff were polite and helpful. The room we stayed in was large with a very high ceiling. It was clean. Banking Machine next door. We were there 5 nights. The hotel at night is like faulty towers . You can hear every door and hallway conversation. Our beds were not very comfortable. The water was only warm. The street noise and pub across the street make leaving the window open a tough call. Bring your ear plugs if you want fresh air.

The close proximity to the castle, old town and new town. The staff was very helpful as our luggage didn't make it the first day. Accommodations were good. The bed was a little uncomfortable, but we slept fine.

Great size room for an American couple, good free breakfast, good price for commodities, excellent location. Bad wifi (wifi router was right outside our room too), hot room (had to open window most of the time to cool it down), most of window view looked out into narrow alleys (and wasn't much to look at).

The location is excellent. Nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. The shower head - it was not possible to take it down and hotel did not provide shower cap. The water pressure was not strong. Not big selection for breakfast - what if you wanted cereal followed by toast? I had the impression you had to choose only one of the things on the menu. Also only one cup of coffee was included.
