The location. Otherwise the property needed a complete refurb! The bedroom needed brightening up. The whole place is a put down for the neighbourhood. Come on Best Western you can do better than that!!
A separate ? As I've already answered!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar were good.
The room was a bit tawdry. Too many mirrors as well! The furniture and curtains badly matched. The shower was impossible to make cooler. The mattress was old and uneven and the pillows too hard.
location breakfast staff friendly
rooms appear dated . problems with door and card entry
The pond, the friendliness of the staff & the cleanliness.
Being given an upgrade to a garden room and having one's own individual outside space overlooking the garden was a real bonus. I was able to unload the car immediately beside the front door which was fantastic.
I liked everything.
Nice staff Comfy rooms Nice food Lovely location
Having to bash the room door to get into the room!
I liked the beautiful lake and sourranding area, the food in the restaurant, friendly staff and free parking
Too few bar staff. The young lady on the bar had to leave her post on a regular basis to serve bar snacks leaving the bar unattended. It appeared that restaurant staff had the time to do this.
The staff were good and oblidging
Some of the facilities needed attention such as, loose taps, poor flushes in public toilets & light bulbs out in the corridors
The location next to Frensham Pond
My room was big, but felt tired and old fashioned. It has a an adjoining door to the next bedroom, which, although locked, allowed voices from my neighbor to be heard distinctly (and they weren't particularly noisy either). The breakfast needs a lot of improvement: the fruit juices were a disgrace, some watered-down substitute that had little to do with fruit. The service, although friendly, was very slow.
The outdoor eating area with a view of the lake.
We waited 40 minutes for our dinner salad. There were only 13 customers in the restaurant. Had to complain before getting any action...lots of "I'm so sorry, Madam" but not very sincere. Restaurant closed when we arrived at 2 o'clock. The desk clerk was not knowledgeable about the area. If you don't have a car do not stay there. The place needs an entire updating...worn chairs in the lobby, mold on shower curtain.
Location comfort and freindly staff
Restaurant very slow and breakfast not very hot
Everything else. I first stayed at this hotel in 1977, but last year and this year it has got worse and worse. The worst of commercial hotels. Service non-existent - completely lacking in sufficient staff. No air conditioning, so in the warm weather you cannot sleep.
every thing was great except
no air con in my room and breakfast was a tad unorganised .
Good location, staff very friendly, restaurant bar & patio area very nice.
Room decor was tired as was the bathroom. All could do with an update.
Location is very nice, the room, being an executive room was well equipped - this is where it all stops.
Cleanliness, and food. Food was disgusting, cold, greasy, uncooked burger, salty. Breakfast, the cold buffet table was not cold, warm fruit, flies on the cold meats and cheese. Severed tea in a teapot with a broken spout and covered in stains. Totally unbelievable, the hygiene standard is non existence.
Receptionist very helpful
Breakfast only luke warm if that, very poor. Orange juice offered at breakfast was like extremely weak orange squash, certainly not fresh orange juice
After being asked how my stay was and explaining the mattress had a dip in the middle and could feel the springs coming through. The response, oh sorry about that! Would expect a bit more customer service for £120 without breakfast. With my job i stay in many hotels and can honestly say the so called lower end of the market chains of hotels offer a much more professional service
Having worked at the hotel 30yrs ago When it was privately owned I was interested to see how it had changed, I was not disappointed,it had changed a lot but for the better
lovely hotel, gorgeous surrounding, very good staff and excellent breakfast
General standard of our room. Dinner and breakfast menu's and arrangements (best Best Western experience we have had to date) - and of course the food ! Courtesy and attentiveness of all staff we came in contact with. (exemplary) Location
attention to minor details fell a little short( specifics have been reported) Not being able to stay longer ! ! !
1. A problem with my reservation on arrival. 2. Undercooked food had to be returned 3. All draught lagers in bar unavailable 4. Room shabby 5. Door lock did not work, hence had to leave valuables in car A very poor hotel in every way.
location, and bathrooms well equipped with big fluffy towels and toileteries were excellent, i ve never had hair conditioner included before
Lovely location by Frensham pond. Staff very friendly and helpful
The hotel does not appear to have taken advantage of its lovely setting. The restaurant area overlooking the pond is bland and sterile. It could be amazing with the right decor and lighting.
food was well presented and prepared
Cont from above.. I booked an executive room 3 months ahead for Farnborough airshow and was allocated a small grubby ground floor room with dirty curtains at rear. I asked to be re-roomed and was told the hotel was fully booked but eventually given a standard room (a bit improved ) Assessing the No of guests over my period of stay it was obvious that the hotel was not fully booked & I assume the front desk told me lies. On checking out the front desk initially refused to discount the price to the Std tariff and wanted to charge Executive tariff - even though I had used a std room !! ..Not the best "Best western experience"
Size of the room Comfortable bed Staff were very professional, efficient and friendly. They were excellent.
There was a connecting door with padlock to the room next door. Unless I turned the sound on the TV up I could not help hearing almost everything the people were saying. Noisy when they returned to their room late evening!
