The location was great, nice and quiet
The surroundings and comfort were excellent.
The bar was a bit expensive.
Internet would not work in room so had to re-pack and move to another room, but staff were very helpful with this
the hotel is about to be refurbished so comments now may be irrelevant shortly. We were only there for sleeping so cannot comment on rest of hotel
the bed was soft and we sank into the middle
The staff were excellent... happy to help, polite, courteous. Plenty of parking.
décor in the rooms a little dated and bed not so comfortable.
We loved the location
Pillows were awful so take your own, TV reception was intermittent
Did not have the lake view advertised
Bathroom was great! Breakfast was good, but pricey.
Staff team did not speak English very well, didn't actually meet any English staff! Pipes make loud noises during the night. Bed just ok, bit hard and cheap feeling. Wrong paper delivered in the morning, I say delivered, as it was raining they just left in reception so "it didn't get wet"! Hmmm.
polite and attentive staff...breakfast good....evening meal a bit too nouvelle cuisine for my taste...tasty but not for the hungry
bed and particularly pillows like concrete...also upgraded to "executive suite" not quite sure why and would not have liked to have paid extra for what looks like a butlins holiday chalet....no control over heating in bathroom...
Location & view. Breakfast - good choice Quiet location Good & secure parking facilities.
everything from the location. food was top class and the staff was excellent 10 out of 10 keep up the good work
not a thing
the view from the dining room, overlooking the lake with all the different birds on it. We had a couple of minor mistakes due to my partners food allergy, but the staff were very quick to rectify.
the road we had to take to it was narrow, but it was fairly easy to find. There is a better road from another direction, but was out of our way if we took it.
Excellent restaurant, reasonably priced. Small but comfortable bar area. Beautiful views of Frensham Pond. Rooms well thought out and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and courteous.
No elevator, however, staff promptly carried the cases up to the room for us and when checking out.
Room was clean, and comfy, staff were helpful and friendly, food was basic but warm, quick and just what we needed after stressful day ( we ate in bar not restaurant )
Wifi not good and no phone reception ( I know this is not hotels fault but was an issue for us as we needed to be in contact with people on this occasion )
The room was very well appointed, clean and tidy and warm.
The approach to the room (27) was very off-putting, thought we were at Butlins. You should plant some shrubs between the individual front doors, that will take the away the severity of the building. If there is a function on, you should have more than one member of staff behind the bar, she was good but we had to wait a long time, other guests commented the same. Bad wine was replaced without question. Replaced by Hot chocolate at our request, but it was cold. More staff required at reception, lovely girl but long queue to check out.
The lake was pretty.
Our room incredibly noisy with generator or air conditioning unit. Plates dirty with food stuck to them. TV didn't work. Bathroom mouldy. Some staff very in attentive. Was expensive for what we received.
Everything was good quality, staff very helpful. Room service prompt.
My only negative comments. There was no hand rail on a small flight of stairs on an upstairs corridor leading to room 46. Had I been arriving after dark the long lane up to the hotel would have convinced me I was lost.
Expected tv in room but did not not
The porter said it worked when ask to sort..... It did not
All Staff very welcoming view at Breakfast first call Food was very good value for money First Class
No Problem with our stay
The pool was closed Woken with late night revellers
The staff were very warm and helpful. Even offered a coach driver some tea and coffee! the rooms and grounds are clean and well mentioned. The food was delicious and food portions were even better!!
The location was lovely, and spent many hours wandering around the area and enjoying the views and locality.
It was a pity that we were not advised of the works being undertaken on the area to the front of the hotel which did spoil a little of the picturesque scenery, but has certainly boosted our intention of returning to enjoy the good works that were being done at that time, which I'm sure will be a great asset to the hotel
the dining room breakfast was excellent
the lighting in the room could be brighter
The uncomfortable bed, the tired bathroom, the broadband which didn't work and the notices everywhere telling what you could and couldn't do
We attended our niece's wedding reception and the dining area looked absolutely beautiful. The standard of food was excellent and the staff very attentive. We stayed in one of the Garden Suites and found it very comfortable with everything you would need. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Would definitely stay there again :-)
