Friary Wood  

The size of the room-you could party in it and the ensuite too and all with mod cons too! Very friendly hosts, good english breakfast and a swimming pool, what more could you want. We'll definitely be back with the rest of the family!!

This hotel was a real surprise, the rooms were fantastic as was the breakfast. We had a lovely welcome,We were given help deciding where to meat in the evening, and our host booked our table and the taxi.the grounds are beautiful

The facilities at Friary Wood were wonderful. The guest house is located in a wooded area outside of Bath. The room was very large and roomy and accommodated the four of us easily. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. The bathroom was unbelievable with a large tub and shower. Debbie was a great host and provided a wonderful breakfast each morning.

The guest house is located outside of Bath and the bus service is rather expensive. However, Debbie showed us a way that we could walk through the woods to get to the train station which was a more pleasant and less expensive way to travel. Otherwise we needed taxis to get in and out of Bath. I'd strongly suggest renting a car if planning to stay at Friary Wood.

We chose the hotel because we could fit 5 of us in the room. The room was huge and we didn't feel squashed at all. The bathroom was as big as some of the rooms we'd stayed in already. We wished we booked for longer...

We would have liked to have checked in earlier - just to drop our bags off and maximise our time in Bath. We also got lost trying to find the place using the map directions. It would have been much clearer if it had said on the a36 from Bath to Warminster or something like that. Glad we'd tried to find it earlier rather than later that night as the entrance is poorly marked from Bath - especially in the dark...

The owners were extraordinarily kind and helpful. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and clean. The grounds were beautiful. The breakfast was fabulous.

It's a very quiet place in the countryside near Bath. It has big rooms and a lot of space outside to walk and relax.

You must have a car and manually enter Lat/Long coordinates in your satnav to reach it, otherwise it's very difficult to find. The hosts are nice but they have put all around the house some strange puzzling messages like "be nice or go home".

Friary Wood is a lovely country house hotel, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable with a lovely view of the private gardens. The staff were extremely helpful giving good recommendations of places to eat and they served a great breakfast. The hotel is only a 10 minute drive from Bath which is a great city for a short break.

Massive bedroom and bathroom facilities, the biggest and amongst the best we encountered on holiday. The owner was very helpful and not too obtrusive. He recommended a lovely old hotel, 17th century ?, for dinner which was only about 5-10 minutes drive from Friary Wood and well worth the visit We didn't get to check out the grounds or the other facilities such as the pool as we were only staying overnight. Could have easily stayed for a couple more days.

Very friendly hosts with an excellent standard of room, good quality breakfast.

Bathrrom was dedicated for our use but not en-suite.

central heating in my room wasn't working but was provided with an electric heater immediately.a full english breakfast should have been included in the price and not just a continental one.
