Hotel needs a refurb

Regretfully when my guest arrived there was no record of our bookings (booked 2 nights on different dates) and was told there was no room available. Lucky for us one guest did not turn up so I was finally able to get a room. We were told there was no notification from you. Landlord was very helpful

Great location for my purpose

It's not a hotel - it's a guest house. I think the ad on the site mis- represents that.

The guest house was in poor decorative order. Dining room cramped. If everyone came down to breakfast at the same time, I doubt whether all could be accommodated.

Excellent B&B, good breakfast and very friendly.

Room was comfortable and spacious. Location good access to Northwood station (10mins walk).

Limited breakfast timing. Hotel is really just a bed and breakfast and should be advertised as such.

The room was very small -much smaller than the first time that I had been to Frithwood House. We could not put both our suitcases onto the floor of the room -and they were medium sized suitcases. I complained and got a bigger room. However it was disappointing.

Nothing

This is by far the worst place that I have booked using Booking.com. There is no provision for evening meal with the nearest civilisation being 1/2 mile away. There is very little parking in what is a residential cul-de-sac. In my room, an attic, I couldn't stand up straight in front of the basin without banging my head (which I did many times all over the room). No shaving mirror, cistern temperamental. I could go on but to me, I just could not wait to leave. And it was not cheap or good value.

For an over night stay it was good and the manager was very friendly, helpful (eg ordered a good taxi service for us) and the breakfast was good. I would classify the hotel more as a bed and breakfast type house down a quiet road. Overal I enjoyed my stay.

Being the top floor of the house, the ceiling of the bathroom was pitched and you could not stand up at the toilet without having to bend you knees at an uncomfortable angle or sit down in stead, but for one or two nights it was ok.

Very comfortable with very helpful, friendly staff. Good location.

I was made very welcome and was made to feel that whatever I wanted they would try their best to sort for me.
