The only issue we had was that the bathroom was across the hall (which we were made aware of before we booked and again upon arrival). It just meant that there was a need to be mindful of the other guests rather than strolling between rooms following showers/in the night, that you wouldn't otherwise have to do with an en suite.
We stayed for 3 nights at the Fron Deg, using it as a base to climb Snowdon, which was ideal.
We were greeted by Ann at the door who then made us feel very welcome, providing us with a cup of tea and some biscuits after our long journey from the Midlands.
The double bedroom was spacious with plenty of storage for our kit.
The bed was extremely comfortable and despite being on a main road, the traffic was minimal and even with the windows open we slept well.
Ann's breakfast was delicious. Most mornings I had a small bowl of cereal, youghurt and stewed apple, scrambled egg on toast with mushrooms and tomatoes (we're vegetarian so we didn't try the bacon/sausages that were on offer) and extra toast.
There was also a sitting room, specifically for the use of guests. As we were there for three nights we made use of this space and it was lovely and cosy after a long days walk.
Also it is within easy walking distance of an old slate cavern and a small farm park.
I would definitely recommend other people to stay here.
