Slightly tricky wifi but it did work eventually.

Nothing to report - would visit again without hesitation
I stayed in one of the modern stable rooms which was very comfortable, especially the bed, and I loved the design of the furnishings. The main part of the hotel is very attractive, warm and welcoming and steeped in history. Excellent breakfast. Charming proprietors and staff. The garden is a real treat. I would definitely stay here again.
Not a bad word to say, love love love this hotel!! We had the perfect stay for our first anniversary. The bed was so comfy, best sleep wed had in ages!! We will return
We could not find fault
We had a fantastic couple of days in this charming B&B, near to the city centre,
Everything. Bed was particularly comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Shower vigorous and all was clean and tidy.
Very high standards of accom., breakfast, favilities (but so they should be for the money). Laid back ambience. Easy to get to with secure parking.
Lovely quirky hotel. We had a garden room which was really lovely and comfortable.the breakfast was excellent, all freshly cooked using local produce. The staff were very pleasant and helpful.Would return to this hotel.
Nothing but very near the train line. Not a problem,as I had ear plugs!!Might bother some people.
Modern plumbing, medieval setting....a great combination! Comfortable beds, lots of hot water and large fluffy towels. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
Frequent trains going past, but put in ear plugs and they vanish.
Room at the front a bit noisey
Excellent location, very welcoming. Was very impressed with the little extra's for example the honesty bar which is very rare these days! And the usage of phone chargers which certainly helped my son who had left his at home!! Will certainly use this hotel again when visiting our daughter at university!
Sandy the staff is very friendly and helpful.the bed is so so comfy n hugs you.shower tiled floor is warmed up!
Very close to the centre of Canterbury, good for shopping and site seeing. Close to rail station you really didn't need a car. Excellent breakfast choice and staff very friendly. Good lounge area. Very clean.
Everything - it was the best B & B of a four-week trip around Britain
Having to leave
Location, convenience, friendly and helpful staff, people went out of their way to make us feel welcome and valued clients. Breakfast was outstanding, and the garden added a warm and welcome sense of relaxation.
1. The welcoming and checking was fast and friendly. My request to add an extra night from what I booked via booking.com was granted with ease. The room was a stable remote from the road. Nice, clean, and new room. The garden was an extra environment to enjoy the resting time. Breakfast was superb with caring staff.
A charming venue with a lovely atmosphere, many personal touches and a very warm welcome. Lots of useful suggestions on 'things to do' during our 3 day stay meant we had a lovely mix of culture and fun and even found time to enjoy relaxing pre-dinner drinks in the lovely garden.
only that we couldn't stay longer!!!
friendly staff lovely atmosphere
the location, cleanliness, comfort, facilities and breakfast = excellent
there isn't anything to dislike
We liked just about everything, from the initial greeting to the fond farewell. We stayed in a stable room the railway is only yards away but due to the proximity of the station, the trains move very slowly as they pass by and did not disturb us at all. Breakfast was excellent with top quality produce cooked to perfection every time. We would recommend House of Agnes to anyone.
The only thing we did not like was the fact our stay was not long enough
When we first checked in I was a little disappointed with the accommodations as I am not normally a B&B type person. However, after being welcomed by Sandie, the proprietress, I felt like we had become part of a large, warm family. She was so helpful and did everything to make us feel at home. The location is perfect, just a block from the old city of Canterbury. The breakfast was very good and the well stocked bar on the "honor" system was delightful after a day of sightseeing. There is wifi throughout the building, including the guest rooms. We only stayed for one night but felt quite at home at the inn. I would definitely recommend the House of Agnes, but make reservations well in advance as it quickly fills, especially on weekends.
Amazing location close to all of the sights in Canterbury. We had a parking spot for our car and an in-house place to rent bikes from! The "honesty bar" was a great touch and very welcome at the end of a long day of traveling. The rooms were clean and well-outfitted. Very nice accommodations for the price. Very glad we stayed here two nights instead of just one! When we had to leave early, they had a breakfast packed and ready for us in the fridge. Ideal!
very friendly welcome and nice room overlooking church and handy for all high street amenities
