For the price we paid, we felt that there could have been better service. The basis of good service was there but we felt that the following could have been improved upon. The room was large and clean, there was sofa bed in it that had seen much better days and I think that for a hotel of this size, they could easily replace things like this. There was only enough tea bags and milk for one cup of tea each. When you're staying somewhere for 2 days, you're going to have more than one cup of tea. There was only one dressing gown and pair of slippers and the dressing gown had a hole in it. I had to ask for more milk and tea bags and another dressing gown was delivered. There was also only one bottle of water provided each day, there should have been 2 as the hotel knew that there were 2 of us in the room. I paid for an upgrade on the basis that we would have more room and a bath. The bath was very narrow and you could barely manoeuvre in it. We went out both evenings during our stay and we were not even acknowledged when we walked back into the hotel, even though the staff were at the reception desk, one night they were chatting and the second night they didn't even look up. I think that they could have at least acknowledged us. These are reasonably minor things but if improved upon, could certainly have made our stay better.
We liked the fact that the bed was so large and cofortable. We also liked the size of the room and that the bathroom mirror was heated to prevent condensation. Free parking was a positive. House keeping were also great.
