The setting, the comfort and thoughtfulness in the room, the excellent breakfast, proximity to Lincoln and the countryside. Not too keen on all the pets but they were no problem.

The Gables was excellent. We were house hunting so the location, the food and the accommodation was very well placed for us. The whole house is spotless and comfortable, and the owners very welcoming. I loved all the little extras like the cotton wool balls, the face cloths, and the soaps and hand creams were beautiful. If we were in the area again we would stay there. What's not to like. Everything was there for us.

Lovely people, clean modern rooms. More b&b than hotel? Would definitely recommend... Checkout was a little early at 10am, although that's possibly because I was hungover!

The Gables is a fantastic place immaculately clean and better than some 5 star hotels I have stayed in and I have stayed in many. Nothing has been overlooked for the guest could not fault it. I do not normally stay in B&B's when on business but I will definately stay here again if there is a room spare.The owners are lovely and the breakfast choice is excellent and very tasty. Very comfortable beds and pillows a must place to stay. there are no negatives here.

All the personal touches such as cotton wool balls and buds,courtesy flannels provided in bathroom. Fresh milk from a fridge on the landing also provided. Fantastically clean.Attractive decor.wide choice of breakfasts.Notes to say what items available such as shavers etc.,should you have forgotten yours. Earplugs in bedside drawer for light sleepers.

The apartment was well designed and had everything you could possibly need for your stay it was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, there was good parking, the owners were welcoming and friendly and happy to provide advise on the area, nothing was to much trouble. The breakfast menu was nothing short of 5* would have loved to stay longer if only to sample everything offered on their superb menu. Would not hesitate going back to the Gables Guest House. There was nothing to dislike thankyou

Everything about The Gables was very good from the friendly welcome on our arrival to the decor and comfort provided to our room. Another plus was the shower room in which everything (including face cloths) was provided. The breakfast had so much variety and plenty of it and excellent quality. The breakfast room is bright and clean and the service second to none. Absolutelu nothing to dislike at all.

Truthfully, this is perhaps the cleanest most efficient place I have ever stayed in. Our room was large and well prepared, the bathroom had a shower you could hold a dance in! There was nothing I didn't like.

the range of facilities was quite staggering, for a small guest house the second flight of stairs are rather steep for anyone elderly- maybe a lighter carpet would help
