Breakfast was very good
Can't fit it in 200 words but will never stay in the hotel again
Too hot in the room and the radiator wouldn't adjust to a lower heat
Hotel tired, depressing, supposed to be deluxe family room, one inch piece of soap, curtain rail broken, ordinary glass in bathroom covered with a bit of net curtaining found the place depressing, never again.
the location , clean bedding
cramped shower room , very well used furniture
Internal feel, parking
Excellently prepared breakfasts. Pleasent terrace to sit out on. Everything for a great stay, Wish i could have stayed longer.
quiet basic but comfortable entertainment informative staff Central to all attractions
broken lamp shade in bedroom, should have been noticed when room was prepared.
The location was excellent for our needs, ideal walking time to all the piers and town centre. good position for transport trams etc.breakfast was of a really good standard and we really enjoyed our stay.owners and staff were really pleasent and helpful!! Would definitely go there again
Just got back from this hotel and I can't fault anything, had a sea view room, breakfast was excellent as well. Would definitely go back.
Close enough to walk to the town centre and shops. Staff very helpful and friendly. Sea view room. Clean and comfortable.
Bathroom was a bit small.
None just proximity to the beach
I asked for a fan I was told no I could not have it them I wanted to swap the room they said that's what you pay for your value I had to climb a flight of stairs as they was no lift to my room not only that they were no chair in the room had to sit on the bed
location great,breakfast good
shower was impossible to use with out getting the floor wet
the room was not clean and when we got there they put us in a room were it was not fit for a dog then they said o we put you in the rong room then we got moved to a new room and that room was not good for the money will not go there again bad place to go we were there from the 19th till the 21st of sept 2014
spotless clean rooms with blue flush in the loo. well set out with room to get around. friendly staff. great buffett breakfast although twenty minutes late opening on check out day. relaxed atmostphere sometimes too relaxed.
small lift only two people no room for big suitcase as well. no help to get luggage up. was there from Friday till Monday had no towels changed and they were small.had no towel dryer either. outsiders coming in and did not know what. resturaunt expensive. our executive room we paid extra did not have ironing facilities. room underneath family room so had hell on earth for 3 days kids running and banging doors even at 12.40 am. remote tv control given at reception with a ten pound deposit. no security on door to select non residents inner coded door is never closed worried non residents could get upstairs.

Nice place to stay with family... warm welcome.... helped us to park the car... we got our rooms keys straight away... when we enter the room.... found room clean and tidy ....... staff were friendly with us.... They recommended another restaurant for our dinner..... plenty of English breakfast in the morning...we'll definitely ask people to go there for stay....
I visited the Gainsborough with my 25 year old son and his girl friend,i choose this hotel because it said entertainment at week ends, there was nothing at all on all weekend. It was very pricey at 285.00 for three nights, plus they wanted an extra 6.00 each for a breakfast, which at that price should have been included.Never mind what the proprietor says, the wallpaper is peeling off, thre is no bath, the room is tiny,we had a big hole in the floor underneath the carpet, and as I am disabled had to walk round it all weekend as I was frightened it was going to go through.Plastic spoons for tea and coffee. Also the room had not been cleaned properly,as I found ladies hair grips on floor.not a good experience,in room 205.
staff were very friendly ,spoke as if they knew you for years ,got nothing to complain about ,will stay there again
The staff were very helpful and accomadated us to our needs
The only thing I didn't like was the parking but we managed to work around it
It was a great view on the sea front.
The bed was squeaky, the shower was dirty overall we didn't get what we saw on the pictures .
staff were scruffy including management, the chef was walking round in grubby kitchen clothes, people were smoking in the rooms. Room was shabby and although the bedding was clean the room was grubby, there were no remotes for the TV's, no phones, no room service. the car park at the rear had all sorts off rubbish strewn around like it had not been cleaned for a very long time. generally not happy with the hotel and found it very expensive, supposed to be 4 star I would rate it no more than 2 and I feel I have stayed in enough Hotels around the country to have a good insight what price you should pay and the amount of facilities you should expect for a supposed 4 star Hotel.
The staff were ok
EVERYTHING!! facilities and cleanliness are really poor!
