Easy parking, excellent location, big rooms, good breakfast, everything you need for a weekend stay.
Noise from weddings on both nights. Would ask for a quiet room next time!
I like Gainsborough hotel the cleanness, I stayed there for one week they clean the yard the whole hotel the windows the corridors obviously the room you staying every day excellent, not any disturbance for any reason very good I like that
Everything. Room in a quiet location and very comfortable. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful
Stylish decor, friendly very helpful staff, excellent value for money. Breakfast good choice
Nothing to criticise
Pleasant staff, clean, good location. Friday night curry night was good value and tasty.
Breakfast menu states selection of pastries including croissants. Croissants only, provided as a norm! Hooks needed in bathroom!
Staff and cleanliness very good standard
Food quality good but preparation needs improvement. Had chicken tikka starter, and chicken bourgoignon next day. Chicken was tough and difficult to cut with the knives provided.
Everything toooo much to even start with!!!! F Best food I've eaten in a hotel in years!!!!
Ive met friendlier staff. Duvets too small
The hotel was pretty nice just where we needed to be breakfast was good
A lot of parties / weddings were on at the hotel at the time ,that went on late at night a lot of people out outside shouting swearing generally being annoying till early hours from the parties ,
Food was lovely.
Lovely sized rooms and big comfortable bed
The hotel is located ideally for the Town the Staff are very friendly, polite and nothing is too much trouble.
Lovely hotel, exceptional cleanliness and a wonderful atmosphere. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and look forward to returning soon
Friendly staff, nice location, just all round a good place to stay.
Being very critical I could have done with a lift !! We were on the 4th floor. There is a stanah chair however for two floors..
Comfortable room, good breakfast and no complications
Offhand receptionist (at 8.30 pm) No lift to top floor - no bag carrier
Cleaners were very good and the location.
The receptionists were very rude and didn't ever say hello or smile at us. At one point we walked through the reception 3 times in 5 minutes and the receptionist didn't look up and acknowledge us once! I have since contacted the hotel to inform them of my concerns but to date I haven't had a reply which is quite disappointing
Brilliant position for the West Midlands Safari Park. Very polite, cheerful and efficient staff. Spotlessly clean. Well equipped air conditioned room. Great breakfast!
Comfortable rooms, good condition
You could hear the disco from the function room in the room but it wasn't a big deal - just stayed awake until it finished!
Staff very helpful and nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent and breakfast well laid out and very tasty. If in area would definitely stay again.
Quiet room Handy location Prompt taxi service arranged
Air conditioning in public rooms made them too cold for comfort. One particular front of house person not suited for role. Breakfast delayed by 30 minutes from advertised times on one morning. No wake up call received when previously booked
Great place to stay for a business overnight stay.
Can't think of anything.
No mention anywhere on their website or on booking.com that breakfast was an extra £5.95 each
Really friendly good food and spotlessly clean Would definitely use this hotel again
.The room was good. The bathroom was OK apart from the WC being too close to the wall and the flush not working properly, oh and the provided toiletries were a bit meagre and not replenished during our stay.
The awful breakfast on the first day, we skipped it on the second day and bought it elsewhere. The underwhelming reception when we arrived, asked for ground or first floor bedroom, given second floor one, mentioned this and was reluctantly given a first floor room, why didn't they offer that in the first place? I am disabled, no-one offered to help with our luggage (no lift). Breakfast the third and final day was, to be fair, acceptable but they need to learn how to cook scrambled egg. Also we were down for breakfast half and hour before the dining room closed and were obviously not welcome, staff noisily setting up the tables for the rest of the day while we were eating (I hate that). One of the two waitresses dropped cutlery onto the floor, twice, and both times put it on a table before at least rinsing it. I could go on...how this hotel deserves its star rating is beyond me.
