Location Bar Breakfast
Couldn't get air conditioning to work but didn't ask for help No lift to floors
Night staff, excellent (17/10/14) Very clean and tidy hotel Plenty of parking
The walls are only there to hang the televisions and light switches on, definitely not for soundproofing. Two nights of no sleep from same room with different guests. Day staff totally complacent to any complaints and just shrug shoulders, smile and utter an unsympathetic sorry. Not a chance of booking again.
Quick and easy registration and payment on leaving
Poor road surface in car park. Unlit car park.
Location and friendliness of staff.
Great value with freidnly staff. I would use again.
Staff very good Decent quality hotel Plenty of parking
Food was disappointing but may have been explained by my late arrival and being last to sit down in restaurant
The staff were all very pleasant and helpful and the hotel was in an excellent location for us during our short stay and we would stay here again if revisiting the area.
Accommodating our requirements for an early check in.
The view over the park was lovely. Nicely appointed room. Very clean.
We picked a night when there was a wedding reception or something similar happening at the hotel. They were a bit noisy. Still, can't be helped.
Staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. Food excellent. Stairlift to all floors but which is not mentioned on website. (I'm disabled)
Toilet situated far too close to wall. (And I'm slim.)
Very friendly and helpful staff, room allocated as per my online request, this hotel met all our requirements for our 3 nights stay. Very clean room, well maintained with all good quality room facilities, would stay here again, as location suited our requirements. Onsite restaurant and bar reasonably priced.
It did not bother or concern us, but as the hotel does not have a lift, I would recommend requesting a lower floor if guests have mobility issues.
room clean comfortable and quiet staff helpful ,food and facilities excellent--especially the breakfast no complaints whatsoever would recommend
nice spacious room breakfast was good & reasonably priced
Friendliness and helpfulness of staff
The service was great, very friendly staff. I even had excellent help with using my new I pad.
Clean convenient for town.
Indian food in Restaurant!
I personally liked everything about the hotel and hope to return.
nothing at all.
Good location, comfortable, clean.
Although the breakfast was good we were disappointed that the tea was in a flask and not in a pot and brought to the table, which is normal. Also the staff while we were having breakfast were at the end of the room laughing and joking - I think they would have been better employed bringing guests tea and clearing tables.
The hotel being very busy, wedding going on, but the staff put them selves out very quickly to sort out a room for us.
We arrived at 1820 with our booking reference to discover the hotel had not received it through the system.
Excellent room - spacious, very comfortable bed. Breakfast - average - although felt like it had been there a while
Very strange smell in reception area. Toilets felt grubby
At £66 for the room for one night, I would have expected breakfast. £5.95 each for breakfast thus seemed a bit steep, although it was a good buffet breakfast. It should have been possible for the staff to bring tea or coffee to the table instead of having to get it yourself.
Ease of registration .Parking .Breakfast. Checking out and friendly staff. Good selection of wines and beer. Close to where we wanted to be. Good that the WiFi does not need a complicated code to get in and you stay connected. Comfortable beds.
Thought that the barman was a little unfriendly as though we were intruding upon his time, still we only had one visit maybe caught him at an off moment.
evening meal poor, not enough too well done. mix up with account buy we have now worked it out and is correct.
Easy parking, excellent location, big rooms, good breakfast, everything you need for a weekend stay.
Noise from weddings on both nights. Would ask for a quiet room next time!
I like Gainsborough hotel the cleanness, I stayed there for one week they clean the yard the whole hotel the windows the corridors obviously the room you staying every day excellent, not any disturbance for any reason very good I like that
