Gainsborough House Hotel  

A very pleaseant ambience. Very friendly and attentive staff. Good food. Very clean

Location, ample parking, spacious room.

Excellent attention to detail. Decaffeinated coffee sachets available and real biscuits ie not malted fingers but custard cream. Staff very welcoming and efficient and booked taxis for us for the times we asked for. Choice of cereals etc for breakfast, fresh fruit and cooked food really excellent. Range of cooked food available was more than adequate and the help yourself buffet style was very good. Of particular note was the quantity of hot food available was not too much, resulting in the food being replaced with fresh at very regular intervals.

The only problem was with a wake up call that we did not get and neither did our friends.

Very comfortable and easy walking distance for main town

Its position within Kidderminster, together with its comfort and friendly staff.

Very little to dislike. But the cost of staying at the Gainsborough, and the cost of drinks in the Hotel Bar are all slightly higher than I would have liked.

terrible lighting in bedroom; only desk lamp for drying hair - hairdrying is by desk so no choice no locks on bathroom doors doors bang very loudly indeed probably waking up everyone else in the surrounding rooms poor breakfast, greasy, not enough choice

Free car park, good sized bedroom and facilities, evening meal very good quality and value.

Too far to walk into town, so not much to do nearby if you are on foot.

The friendliness off all the staff. The good sizing of the rooms.

Comfortable bed; bath as well as shower; lack of noise; friendly and helpful staff; reasonable quality food (though a bit pricey).

Location. A bit far to walk into the centre of Kidderminster or to Bewdley, and poor public transport (none on Sunday when we were there.) In fact, we did have to walk into Bewdley, which meant 3 miles on roads and 3 less on the Severn Valley path! No option for continental breakfast (though the restaurant did me a special deal when I asked about this!)

Hotel staff very friendly, room quiet. Breakfast very good.

The location was good for our falaconry experience. The room was good and the breakfast and dinner good

Our shower was not very powerful and the water temp could have been hotter . Our dinner in the evening was fine but as we were the only 2 in the restaurant it lacked any atmosphere, perhaps if numbers are small a section could be screened off. Bar staff could have been a bit quicker off the mark to give us dinner menus and take an order, we had to ask for someone to come and take our order.

The fact that in the I objected to only having a mug for my morning cuppa I am a cup and saucer person and would have liked a choice

Very clean and friendly hotel. lovely breakfast, great sausages!
