Score from 201 reviews Very good
Staff were very helpful and friendly The bed was comfy The bedding and towels were luxurious
Good size room with everything required. Breakfast very good, staff attentive and helpful.
Our room had air con system and was cold on arrival but had heated up once we returned after visiting relatives.
The location, is not too far from town. the staff were polite, and friendly. Although a party was in full swing downstairs, the noise level in our room was minimal.
A bit noisy in the corridor late at night., and early in the morning, when the cleaning staff are around. Other than that a good place to spend some time in.
The rooms were modern and clean with good bathrooms.
The service in the restaurant was very slow and there was only us and another table in there.
Self service breakfast, decent choice of cereals, hot food and croissants
No radiators in bedrooms, just an air conditioning unit. We were in room 36 and even when the unit was switched off, it still made a noise akin to wind blowing through the ducting. Not really noticeable whilst watching TV but in the dead of night very annoying! To be fair to the Hotel, they allowed us to switch rooms and gave us a complimentary breakfast because of our inconvenience.
Nice bar area , and comfortable bed
Friendly staff Good food
Friendly staff, wanted to change our check out and was sorted without hassle. Room was a bit cold but the air conditioning had heating options. Overall it was ok for price.
The mattress! Really need to change. Was sunk in the middle and pulling me into it!
Avrything especially the room and the bathroom and the toilets are very cleanbed was comfortable
No smoking in the room ha ha
Well presented hotel Helpful and friendly staff Warm welcome Nicely stocked bar
Sunday breakfast times too early
Everything from check in to check out was excellent the rooms the food and the service were all first class we stayed two nights were there for a wedding we had a fantastic time
the room was clean and comfortable and a good location
Meet and greet and a smiley face
Room very quiet. Despite a noisy function downstairs we couldn't hear a thing. Comfortable clean modern room.
I would love to go there again
Nothing that I didn't like to be honest
It was very satisfactory for my needs.
It was a little dearer than many hotels in the area.
The internet connection was very weak and inconsistent.
Good breakfast with vege option when requested
The room was very clean
we found the quality of the breakfast poor, it was Pre-cooked and cold, for the usual price of £95 we expected it to be better
Staff very attentive Food excellent lovely breakfast
It looks awful from the outside but the inside is nicer.
no reception. When you arrive you check in at the bar, so if there are people waiting for their drinks, you'll have to wait. No real restaurant: the pub only serves japanese food and there are no restaurants nearby, unless you are looking for ebola in one of the nearby kebabs. the surroundings are ugly.
The decor was smart . The room was clean and well appointed . The front house staff were good . The location was good and the car park adequate . The receptionist at departure was excellent
No lift although we saw why and it would be difficult to fit one . The breakfast staff were good but the breakfast only had scrambled eggs (I have only seen this in Europe and at the travelodge before ) . It transpired we could have asked for eggs done in another way but this was not clear . The dinner menu was mundane and not appetizing and , for the first time in over 50 years the wine we ordered was merely put on the table in front of us without any suggestion that tasting was offered . The waitress also appeared to be totally untrained .
Location Bar Breakfast
Couldn't get air conditioning to work but didn't ask for help No lift to floors
great location to River Severn for fishing, steam trains sightseeing gateway to Wales, close to Birmingham. Well trained polite & helpful staff !
Night staff, excellent (17/10/14) Very clean and tidy hotel Plenty of parking
The walls are only there to hang the televisions and light switches on, definitely not for soundproofing. Two nights of no sleep from same room with different guests. Day staff totally complacent to any complaints and just shrug shoulders, smile and utter an unsympathetic sorry. Not a chance of booking again.
