room was freezing cold, not a single working plug to charge the phone, reception staff took 30 minutes (literaly) to check in
Convenient for all Kensington attractions and Museums, and for French Institute, etc. Cheerful helpful staff.
Staff friendly and helpful. I used to live in South Kensington as a student at Imperial Gollege, so the location is splendid.
The phone in my room did not work. There was no privacy when calling out from the front desk. The electric plug in the bathroom was faulty. The english breakfast and the jellys for continental breakfast were frankly awful. I am not the kind of person that coplains about things unless they greatly affect me.
Ease of access to the tube. Excellent location for museums and some fantastic restaurants nearby . A good hearty breakfast is served
A window in the bathroom rattled when traffic went by and kept us awake on the first night, but a towel stuffed up against it soon sorted that !
Courteous and friendly staff, location, comfortable bed, coffee/tea supplues
Radiator in the single room which could not be turned off. The staff were good and offered me an alternative room with a radiator with control. Blanket with food stain
Cocktails at the newer sister hotel across the road. Friendly staff at both hotels.
In the triple room we found the beds in the room uncomfortable and the bathroom wasn't great.
Close to South Kensington station and the Science museum (which is where I had my work Christmas party).
Needed a bit of maintenance. Could not hang clothes up in wardrobe as there was a really bad smell in there.
the room without view
Very convenient to South Ken tube station. Friendly welcome. Quiet and comfortable, if not generous with space even for a single, had everything necessary including an en suite.
A bit old and dirty curtains etc.
the rooms. terrible ...
One star more for the blonde girl at the reception, very gentle and helpful.
I had a single room. It was more a 2 stars than a 4 stars. Small, cold and not comfortable.
location cleanliness friendly/helpful staff
bathroom a bit cramped & no bracket to hold shower in place. 2 single beds put together to make a double bed - not ideal for my wife & I.
The cold, tired, scruffy, grubby looking room and bathroom (with mouldy undersink cupboard).
The location and near to cafes and shops. also good bus links to central London.
Wifi wasn't free
Air vent in my room overlooking main road. Bit noisy during rush hour in the morning
Location was excellent to royal Albert hall
Old furniture and bathroom needed upgrade
Location convenient to the place I was going to.
Expensive for what was on offer. No indication when booking that breakfast was an extra over and above the price quoted. To noisey heavy traffic noise. Could benefit fron triple galzing. Not a good nights sleep for £112.
its five minutes walk from hotel to RAH why we chose it
Location is excellent. Room & facilities are ok, but quite small and basic.
It appears that that these prices are typical for London... But if you compare with Berlin, Rome, or even Paris price / quality is out of sync.
Great location. Good sized bathroom.
Only 1 seating chair in bedroom. Very noisy, difficult to operate air conditioning unit. Room was not ready when we arrived upstairs, even though staff had informed us it had been prepared.
Location, friendly staff, atmosphere.
A bit old fashioned as a facility, a sense of faded glory.
clean sheets and soft towels!
difficult entrance with wheelchair up six steps and no help! All furnishings inside were very old and worn, less than comfortable. Tiny lift, windy corridors etc. Room had large old fashioned freestanding a/c unit dominating with large tube extracting through hole in window!! Very shabby and cramped. No fridge. four star???? I think not!!
very convenient to all attractions, very accessible via all transport. room fair size, dated but clean
BED VERY HARD,LIKE A BRICK,single glazing windows, not alot of accessible electric sockets, had to plug kettle in bedside socket
