Location, comfy beds. Friendly staff. Lovely soft water. I didn't like that fact that it was not mentioned that there were lots of stairs and steep drive. Food at breakfast was not hot. Extractor fan in bathroom not working. Small tv - not many channels. Shower a danger - hot and cold fluctuating all the time and very poor power to shower.

the annex type building were you can stay with a dog, as our dog refuses to go up steps or stairs was ideal, and he had his own dog bed and bowl, beautiful breakfast area and food. would ideally like a bar were you dont have to serve yourself, and tv only seemed to have five channels.

Old & Out of fashioned hotel. Poor breakfast. The owner won't spend a penny to improve the place. Sad-looking hotel. Even the credit card paying machine dates from the late 70's !! Flee this place !!

Rather old and outdated 3-star hotel, built in the 1980’S. Insufficient heating in the room and some smell of mould in the bathroom. There is no lift, but there are too many stairs up to rather small rooms. Very little bathroom with no buffer storage (shelf for two persons needs, little chair), where to put personal things such as products for daily body care. Only one small towel dryer for 4 (bath-/hand-) towels. Mixing taps to be installed in the sink of bathroom. When going to bed, we had to remove 6 cushions and to place them on the buffer storage such as 1 chair and/or desk; space which we needed for our luggage (3 weeks travelling needs more than 1 suitcase). No shoe cleaning machine identified. Little choice on tv channels, no international news channel (I.E. bbc worldwide).. Very limited Breakfast choice ; mostly "American/Western" style: fatty, sweet, poor nutritional quality of food. "We do not have ham, only bacon!" (??) No choice on open cereals, all pre-packed products (crispy, fat, enriched with preserving agents). Very close seating arrangements, too small tables (like fast food restaurant).

Nice bacon at breakfast! Reception very unfriendly and cold. Tv terrible. Bed uncomfortable and matress too long for the bed. Room was very cold to enter, although it did warm up eventually. Water at night only lukewarm. Impossible to shave with it. No heat control on very basic hairdrier.I Asked for a ground floor room because of my disabilities. Why wasn't I told I wouldn't be able to go to the lounge or the bar because of stairs.? Very uneven floor in the bathroom. Worst of all...the room key was in a bowl on the reception counter to pick up on our return!!!!!!! What would stop anyone else picking it up? The room was not made up at 3.45 one day. Nobody had told the housekeeper the room was occupied!! So why was it prepared for our arrival on the first day? The Flemming suite? What a joke. There was a tiny 'extra' room with bunkbeds and a sofa. No tv so why would you want the sofa?

It was a busy weekend and we were sent to the "Old Inn" down the road since the Gairloch Lodge was full. The Old Inn was equally well located, and we had a very enjoyable dinner with jovial locals and a live band playing country music. The food was excellent- very fresh and the service was very warm. The room was clean, with a great view to the creek by the inn, and the shower was very modern and clean. Breakfast was great as well. 10/10 experience.

Good reception, clever set up, very fit for purpose. Would certainly stay again. The Old Inn, the supper venue, was fine for supper. It was let down by its bar where the barman was more intrested in talking to his mates than serving customers or even clearing dead glasses from the bar.

This hotel did not do evening meals so we had to eat at their sister hotel [a five minute walk down the road] The Old Inn. The service there is unbevlieveably slow. Try and eat elsewhere if you can - the food is not worth the wait.

Mooie ligging in erg mooie omgeving. Ondanks dat er weinig gasten waren toch een uitgebreid ontbijtbuffet. Omdat er weinig gasten waren ging de eigenaar 's-avonds weg en was het hotel onbeheerd. Voordeur stond we open.
