Golfing is available at Galgorm Castle which is one mile from the resort. This 6,736 yard parkland is set over 220 acres. Fishing is also available on the estate. Dollaghan and Brown Trout swim in the river and during the spring Salmon venture up the river. Our gillies are always available for hire to give you assistance and good advice.

I really liked the decor of the hotel which was impressive, especially walking into the hotel with an open fire. The facilities were excellent, the staff friendly and competent and the food great. Couldn't fault a thing! |

Overall the hotel was excellent - we were there for a wedding and the service and food were very good. Next time we will leave the children behind! It was disappointing that children can not go to the pool - there was a lack of child friendly facilities |

I loved the room, the bathroom and the great big TV with lots of channels to watch. I loved the turn down service with a choccie on my pillow and finding a chocolate under my napkin at dinner. Such nice little touches. Oh there was also a little hotel newspaper put under the door each morning with weather news and Irish headlines. That was lovely. Very personalised. Then also a free newspaper of your choice to each guest, another nice touch. The grounds and garden are superb. Very romantic! The spa is beautiful as is the rest of the inside of the hotel. Staff very warm and helpful too! The Mammy, Daddy and Baby Donkeys were gorgeous in the field by the car park! So friendly too! Just loved my stay there! It was quite busy in the bar restaurant so no romantic secluded dinners for me and my husband, we were quite disappointed about that as the hotel restaurant was only open from Wednesday night to Saturday. This meant we could only eat in the overcrowded bar. Staff very helpful at finding us a booking elsewhere tho. Bed was a bit too soft for myself and my husband who has back problems and the room was really really hot. Had to have window wide open at night. But everything else was perfect. |

I thoroughly enjoyed the spa which was available for all guests. I thought the food at the wedding function we were attending was excellent. The location is beautiful and I really enjoyed the outdoor hot tub beside the tumbling river. I found the rooms a tad dowdy and old fashioned, we stayed in one of the standard rooms and i thought the furnishings could do with a bit of renewal, colour schemes etc. The beds we were most disappointed with, for a 4 star hotel of the Galgorm caliber I expected far superior beds. They were soft and not something you would expect at the Galgorm manor. |
