Staff were as friendly and lovely as you could possibly be, fantastic experience.
Rooms very shabby and not very clean, a towel wrapped around the pipe from the toilet to try and stop leaking waste pipe. No heating in room. Defiantly one to give a wide birth in future
The room was small but adequate and reasonably clean
The bed was far too hard and the room was cold - there was a gap around the entrance door to the room and this made it difficult to sleep due to the noise
The location was good for us, as visiting friends nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Two beds pushed together different heights, not comfortable. Very small room and very small bathroom.
After a 4.5 hour journey down the M1 all we wanted to do was grab something to eat and 'crash' into bed. Parts of the hotel were under refurbishment; the plumbers had drained the radiators to work on the system, then re-pressurised the system before leaving for the night. The radiator in our room had not been tightened sufficiently and a jet of water had been issuing out for some time. The bed, bedding, and carpet were soaking. The owner had left for the night to have a meal out with friends. Despite this, she returned at once to the hotel, most apologetic and upgraded our room at no extra cost. The owner could not do enough for us in an attempt to make good our experience there. For me, bricks and mortar are exactly that. What is more important, is the service a hotelier provides to their guests and the service we received at the gallery was truly first class. We will most certainly go back next time we are in Nottingham.
Not glamorous or luxurious, but remarkable value for money. Spotless crisp sheets, facilities very clean, comfy bed, the staff were extremely kind, helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble. Would happily use it again!
Kingsmill bread at breakfast - it makes tough toast!
Friendly helpful staff Comfortable bed Ideal location
Main light inoperative Small window wouldn't shut properly
Friendly staff, nice room, perfect location for those attending a football match at City Ground
Staff helpful & location good for my needs. Lots of food options within a few hundred yards And if a cricket fan the Trent bridge ground is walking distance & Weatherspoons does a great breakfast & again is only a short walk
My room did not have on suite toilet although it did have a shower. Car parking space a little limited as shared by local residents
Great Value and free parking!
No Desk or sitting area
The staff was extremely helpful and the location for us was perfect (as we went to run a half marathon starting at Victoria Embankment)
Noisy, especially because the guest in the next room forgot his key and shouted and banged at his door at 3am. The B&B closes at noon on Sundays and this should be told in advance. The sliding door of the toilet didn't close properly.
The cost was very low and the staff friendly and helpful
clean quiet nice hot shower TV and WiFi secure
breakfast could be generous(cheese,ham etc.)
Genuine friendliness and value for money .
friendly helpful staff
Staff, location, cleanliness, large room
Tired decor, on main noisy road, cooked breakfast extra
The lady who ran the gallery was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. It's very basic but clean and friendly.
I felt like I was an extra in a film about a Victorian tenemant.
Very close to Nottingham downtown via an efficient Bus network.
More confortable beds would be appreciated
Close to outdoor sports Friendly day staff Good continental breakfast
Run down Awful decoration No hot water in shower Unhelpful night staff No desk in room No access to lounge
Location to the National water park, for the Outlaw triathlon. Staff were very helpful and friendly
Very hot, and appeared to be a stag party type BB.
Staff very good and helpful, breakfast just right for our needs bed comfortable, location excellent for city and other areas.
Noisy traffic into late evening and early morning
Proximity to cricket ground, local amenities, parking
noise from other visitors, functionality of showers, general upkeep of the hotel, looking very tired and need of refurbishment
It was very close to the cricket ground which was the purpose of our visit. The staff were very kind and helpful. Wifi was a nice added extra. The breakfast was filling and tasty.
We had a shared toilet which was absolutely fine and did not cause any problems but the only improvement to our visit would of been to have a private one.
Everything was fine- ensuite room with shower- comfortable bed- TV, wifi- quiet room- own car park on site; staff friendly- continental (=not cooked) breakfast ok for overall value for money. Within reach of eating places- I recommend the Weatherspoon pub a few minutes walk on same pavement- good location for sporting or festival events- I'll stay there again!
Room 1 HAS a sticker warning 'Mind the Step' (when door opens into the room) but it is too high up on door- I STRONGLY suggest another sticker NEAR KEY HOLE and door handle... as low keyhole draws attention away from top sticker...Then it's a shock to step into the bedroom! I flew in!
