“Location was great, close to tube station. Across from museums, in a quiet neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and a farmers market on the weekends. This is a small boutique hotel with European charm. This is not for people ho prefer larger chain hotels. The staff were friendly and accommodating.”

The 4-star Gallery Hotel has a refined Victorian style and a central location opposite the Natural History Museum. Close by are Earls Court, Olympia, the Albert Hall, Knightsbridge and Harrods. The beautiful Victorian house is decorated with original, framed art on every floor and in every room. The building is traditionally furnished, but offers modern amenities like high-speed internet (for an additional cost). Guests can relax in the luxurious lounge area, furnished with plump sofas and a chandelier. There is also a bar to enjoy, where a selection of drinks are available. A few minutes' walk can bring you to the museums or South Kensington Underground Station. There are plenty of shops, restaurant and bars that you can reach on foot. Hyde Park is a 15-minute walk away. Hotel Rooms: 36

Friendly staff. Always ready to help and give assistance. Efficient. The lift was out of action for at least four of our seven days necessitating climbing many flights of stairs. Otherwise ok.

Very good location, close to South Kensington tube station. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms. The breakfast was reasonably good with good service. Elevator not in use - one elderly guest was on the fourth floor and I met her having a breather on the second floor and then on the third floor. A bit of a problem with the toilet not flushing but had fun exploring the flushing mechanics of the cistern with one of the helpful staff.

Lovely Victorian decor and in a wonderful location. The staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable with lots of storage space. Will come again. Although the shower was wonderful when the right temperature was achieved, you had to get into the bath to turn it on and get a blast of very hot or very cold water. The lift wasn't working and we had a third floor room. The English breakfast was good but not worth the extra as there as so many good places to eat in s Kensington.

It was a Gallery with a Victorian feel without being musty. The room was clean, everything worked and the bathroom was good. It was quiet and I had a good sleep! The room was described as air conditioned, however, this was a bit of an embellishment because it had a portable airconditioner with a vent through the window and was very noisy - but apart from this the room and Hotel met my expectations.

Location was great, close to tube station. Across from museums, in a quiet neighborhood with cafes, restaurants, a supermarket and a farmers market on the weekends. This is a small boutique hotel with European charm. This is not for people ho prefer larger chain hotels. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The heating system does not work properly and although they provided a portable heater this was a nuisance. The receptionist who also functions as a concierge could use a bit more training in the location of places in London.

The location is perfect. The décor is a bit dated, but for £75 a night I can't complain

The Gallery Hotel's location is convenient, the staff was helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. No complaints about the price either. In other words, I got what paid for, which is unfortunately not typical with central London hotels. A friend stayed at their sister hotel across the street (the Gainsborough) and based on what I saw of that hotel, the Gallery is the nicer of the two. While the Gallery is a very good hotel, I don't think it's a four-star facility, which is how it's advertised. The rooms and amenities are more in keeping with what one expects from a good three-star. And parts of the hotel are showing their age - though not so much so that I'd avoid staying there in the future.

Great position for our needs, not too expensive, friendly and helpful staff. Room needed redecorating. Bed wasn't very comfortable - but that's a personal choice.

We felt the hotel was lovely, staff very accommodating. Pity they did not celebrate the new year in any way. Perhaps a glass of bubbly to bring the new year would have been nice.

Love the Victorian decor, staff was very helpful, going over and above. The wireless Internet service was terrible. It kept dropping me while trying to use it. For 10 pounds a day It was expensive. Wireless company was Bitbuzz.

Friendly staff. Quiet room. Love the William Morris/Arts and Crafts theme, although some might find it all a bit fussy - but it was cosy and homely to me! Slightly old-fashioned and a nice retreat from the London bustle. Brilliant spot location-wise. 3 minutes walk to South Ken tube, taxis and buses galore at either end of the road, and a taxi rank. Very convenient indeed yet on a relatively quiet street. Housekeeping was a little slack perhaps. Probably not enough staff to keep on top of such things.. Broken bedside lamp bulb in my room and a kettle that needed holding down to work. Not complaining though!

Quiet street and quiet hotel. Good location for hitting central London and on direct line to Heathrow. Just 5 min walk from sk underground with reasonable pubs and restaurants nearby Breakfast at 12ukl is very reasonable for a London Hotel. Pity the breakfast staff weren't a bit more active - seemed only to be interested in talking to friends and texting. No attention for the guests once coffee was served.

Location was good - near tube and museums. Price is good for London Room wasn't massive, but it did specify it was a double room best for 1 person so can't really complain Overall, clean & easy - it's a nice hotel It's not a massively special hotel, but fit for purpose, so would recommend it for your visit to London

Silence in the night - clean - super location. Tv: only pay tv or few English channel, for a 4 star hotel is not enough. Internet is not for free and a little expensive.

“Staff were excellent and the hotel room was stylish and comfortable.
