Nice and clean nice homely decor at good reasonable rates.
The coffee machine didn't work. But does have a kettle in it's replacement ! a man night staff swore at us when we asked for more water to fill the kettle we was told we had just had one ! very rude and very unprofessional but will say the rest of the staff was friendly enough
Clean comfortable good night sleep . Close to the tube Very good service .
Everything was good. The location was perfect for food hunt/subway/main street. Great advantage for having an elevator. Lovely.
The fact that the elevator didn't work from the 3rd floor was a bummer. Was dissapointed that we came back to an unlock room due to the cleaner's duty & carelessness.
Very close to Bayswater tube station. Welcoming reception staff and clean room with comfy beds and fantastic view over the gardens.
Bathroom was tiny and in desperate need of redecoration. The dining room was a bizarre room in the basement with fold away plastic chairs. We arrived at 9.15 as breakfast is served until 9.30 and ordered the fried breakfast which you pay extra for. The staff were not the most welcoming down here and didn't speak particularly good english. When breakfast arrived it was 2 rashers of bacon and 2 eggs and as we were eating it the waitress told everyone that the dining room would be closing in 5 minutes and we needed to finish and leave. We were only here for one night so it didn't really matter but a longer stay and I think We would have probably chose to get breakfast elsewhere.
i liked the beds , very comfortable, room was clean and modern, ensuite shower with toilet, tv, the breakfast was adequate cereal, toast, juice , tea coffee, and we asked for more toast , no extra charge , paid extra for bacon and eggs , only extra £10 for 3 of us. the hotel has a lift, location was great ,close to shops resturants and tube, and only about a mile from main oxford street shopping, we got the tube but easily in walking distance. i was well happy with this choice after reading reviews of hotels of similar price range in central london. total bill one night triple room including bacon eggs breakfasts £72.50
no kettle in room , no phone in room, there was a coffee machine in lobby but i dont know how much that cost as there was a sign saying ask a reception. the sign in room stated there is food and drink service to room ,but no phone in room to order or menu or price list , so not ordered
I was so impressed with what we got for how much I paid- will definitely stay there again.
Location Friendliness of breakfast staff, unlike the receptionist who was somewhat frosty
Very, very thin wall between ours and adjoining bedroom No coffee or tea making facilities in any of the rooms - you have to go downstairs. Continental breakfast was ok except for the lack of bread rolls - only toast was available.
Good location Clean bathroom and shower Fast and free wifi Continental breakfast included
The room was uncomfortably hot, even with the rads off and the window open The ensuite single room was very small, but couldn't expect much more for the price
Location, the price, the staff, in general everything. I've been travelling a lot to London and was the first time that I had good conditions with excellent value for money. Tube station is just 7 min walk.
- The room was small, but quaint. Clean, lots of towels, extra pillows, storage space, and I loved the old-fashioned wallpaper! - Free tea, coffee, and hot chocolate available in reception. - The location is beyond perfect. Right down the street from Bayswater and Queensway tube stations, lots of restaurants, takeaways, pubs, shops, grocery stores within close proximity. Notting Hill/Portobello Road is only a 10-15 minute walk, and if the weather is nice you can walk through Kensington Gardens to the Albert Memorial, Royal Albert Hall, and access many museums and Knightsbridge shopping area (20-30 minute walk). - The neighbourhood around the hotel felt very safe, even when going out or returning at night.
- Wasn't informed at check-in that wi-fi was down. Only found out by calling reception after trying to figure out how to connect and not being able. Once it was working again the wi-fi was great, though. - The continental breakfast (free) only ran until 9:30, so I never made it down in time to try it. Not great for anyone who wants to sleep in.
Value Location Friendliness of staff
Shower cubicle small A little shabby in places
Price in early December, location, breakfast included, free wifi, free tea/coffee, 24 hour reception, refurbished room, clean
Poor sound proofing - could hear person in next room coughing, sneezing etc.
Clean, services and staff very good...
My plane has been terribly delayed, so I have arrived quite late (at around 11 p.m. to Luton airport). Expecting very late arrival to hotel (after midnight) I tried to call to hotel to tell them. But no call have come through which made me quite nervous. However, after arrival (30 minutes after midnight) everything worked well. Reception was opened and we were served very well...
Very comfortable, clean, new rooms. Location is excelent.
The hot water wasnt hot enough
Comfortable accommodation at good rate. Great location 5m walk from Central (Queensway) or District/Circle line, and lots of shops & restaurants on Queensway.
The bed was comfortable, room was small but had all the required facilities. The room was warm and comfortable. The room was absolutely fine.
The room had a separate bathroom next door which required walking out in to a public corridor (not great in pyjamas!). The bathroom was absolutely freezing. I did, however, have a huge problem during my stay. Opposite my room was the buzzer/phone which was linked to the door buzzer. Both nights I stayed there, it buzzed every few minutes after 10pm until just after midnight. It then started buzzing again at 6:15am. I was exhausted after my stay. I mentioned the problem to 'the reception staff who told me I 'should not be able to hear it'. I explained that it was so loud that it woke me up several times but there was not much in the way of an apology, just 'I will let someone know
Good location, nice room though quite small.
In the private external bathroom it was very cold even with the heating on and it was quite far away from the room.
Staff very good and helpful. Comfortable bed and clean room. Breakfast basic but ok , catering staff first class and very helpful.
Room was a bit small but you get what you pay for.
Being next door to the kitchen and heating didn't work until asked for - in December. VERY small room.
Poor continental breakfast
Location, location, location!!! Very basic but tidy and clean. Would definately stay there again and recommend it to someone
Lights above the beds are made of metal and if on for a long time they get too hot and you might get burned. Basic to bad breakfast. I couldn't connect to the wifi at all
We took this hotel for the position, the wi fi and the breakfast included. Wifi never worked in 3 days. Breakfast was poor: toast with marmelade, yogurt, tea or coffee, if you wanted eggs and bacon you had to pay 3.5£ Extra. The room was little but clean. Too much expensive, but in a good place
Clean, cheap (£69 for a double in the week), decent location, quiet and comfortable. Wifi excellent, I was able to watch football on my iPad using Sky Go.
No kettle in the room.
