Dated, tatty, like a room used in tinker, tailor,, soldier, spy, needs urgent refurbishment.
Arrived late given a room with someone else in it had to come down to reception with case to get another room no apology room very old plastic pillow only one wont stay again also room was hot and stuffy couldn't open windows
Close to station
Tired decor. Basic.
Right in City Centre, 5 minutes walk from Picadilly Station so very handy after a long train journey and arriving very late at night. Very clean and good value for money.
Decor needs a spruce up.
Only a few minutes walk to the Train station and shopping center. Friendly and helpful staff.
Room was small and quite dark but for one night it was ok.
Great location. Good value deal at half price.
Would not pay the full price for this hotel
Location - Arndale Centre & MEN within walking distance. Great price for a Saturday night.
No parking - parking is available at a car park at £8.50 for 24 hours. We found a car park right by the hotel for just £3.50 for 24 hours. Leaky shower (annoying) Only one pillow on each bed.
Very good breakfasts and pleasent staff
poor lighting in room and no free wfi
Central location Breakfast was on the whole good
Would not accept MasterCard - said card was faulty. Used it up the road and it was fine. Just wanted debit rather than credit facility to save them money. Noisy Dated and requires decorating Surly staff
The hotel staff are very friendly. Since it was a Business trip and I needed a quiet room to get good sleep I was given exactly that. Sleep was comfortable. Room Fully equipped with all the necessities. Good Bathroom. Location is excellent. Full value for money.
Room a bit dark at night. Lights should be more brighter.
The location was amazing particularly for a pair of young people wanting to experience the nightlife.
The room had no fixed lights only two desk lamps and a standing lamp, only three plugs which made charging phones whilst watching the television or simply having some light difficult. There was no fridge and the window barely opened so we were very stuffy.
Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfasts, would go back again and recommend it to our friends
Very clean, friendly staff.
Decorations generally feeling a bit tired.
The location was the major advantage. Nice shower.
A message, actually boarding passes, were emailed to the hotel and when we inquied about them the front office staff did not look for them. Only later when I showed them a copy of the email did they check to see if they had received the email which had been sent to the hotel hours earlier.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Really good location.
Cleanliness of the bathroom. Shower a bit too powerful.
Basic room but perfect for wat we wanted very clean and perfect location.
Location to buses and tram, good for shopping.
Very tired hotel needs a make over especially the bathroom.
The location is great for access to the theatres and northern quarter.
It's a little over priced in comparison to other hotels in the vicinity in terms of its style and decor. Definitely not somewhere for anyone interested in design.
Location great, Nice breakfasts, close to tram stop and really helpful staff.
Pillows were like plastic bags and water pressure not great in shower. No car park, but recommended car park OK if you don't have much luggage (unfortunate that I did)
friendly, efficient, helpful check-in, very clean room, well equipped for a budget hotel (TV, wifi, ironing board and iron, soap and shampoo, good quality towels and bedding, coffee and tea making in room) lots of very hot water. Great value for money. I didn't try the breakfast.
not much. Not the nicest area of Manchester but I knew that, and it is five minutes from Manchester Picadilly (the main railway station), and no top sheet on the beds - just duvets whose covers probably don't get washed after every guest.
central location; reasonable cost; comfy bed; big bath towel that went all round my large body; pleasant helpful staff.
level of noise from corridor and some pump or machine that continued throughout the night; `wobbly' toilet seat and lid with big crack in it; shower gel fixed to wall OUTSIDE shower curtain and bath; scalding hot water (and warm from cold tap!); room hot and airless
Central location Good wifi in rooms Toiletries & towels
Damp, smelly bathroom Lumpy bed Old & run down No evening food (there is sometimes) Noisy at front of hotel
