Excellent staff very helpful and friendly
Old items need refurbishment
Good location and nice clean hotel
Found this hotel to be a little gem in the heart of Manchester. My room had a lovely new bathroom and really comfortable bed with plenty of space. Was very pleasantly surprised.
Hotel is close to picadilly station, very relaxed atmosphere and tidy.
If staying on the front of the hotel it can be noisey,
Perfect location och great value for money!
It was convenient but a little expensive.
location of this hotel is the best thing about it
One of the poorest hotels I have stayed in ! The room was very small and very badly lit with only bedside lamps for light, so it was impossible to read in the room.Window would not close properly so there was a lot of noise coming in from the nearby pub at night. I did not feel very safe in this Hotel as anybody could walk in off the street and get the lift up to the rooms as the lift was located just inside the front door with no security. For the price I paid I expected a bit better
Close to train station and city centre Few staff were nice
Building was too old.
the position of hotel cant be better..5mins away fron train station...taxi/bus stops and shopping centre. clean place and breakfast was ok too.
the bed, it was high and not so comfy...furniture in general can do with abit of upgrade!
Friendly staff, very helpful, prompt with services, clean rooms and excellent location. Will definitely stay here again when I decide to revisit Manchester.
Nothing for this section.
Good spacious room
Lighting was poor insofar as there was not a main room light. Bedside lamps were provided which were adequate for reading and also a small table light.
everything, very old and not well maintained
Great location for shopping, buses, trams and train station.
Very tired hotel needs some tlc great for 1 or 2 nights.Bathrooms are very shabby.
Central location. After initial problem, internet worked well.
Facilities average. Noisy particularly on Saturday nights.
four poster bed
cold water tap runs hot very hot
Good value for money. The location is great, the room was not something extraordinary but fair enough.
It might get a bit noisy at night on the second floor, but not a big deal.
Staff helpful but unfriendly and terse. Rooms noisy, avoid 101 and 118. Breakfast poor. Expensive.
The location is good .
The facility is poor ,need to be better .
We always stay at the Gardens when we visit Manchester and have just returned from our seventh visit. It's excellently placed for museums, restaurants and shopping. The staff are great too and always make you feel welcome. There's no problem in getting around as you'll find all types of public transport on the doorstep.
It's a very warm hotel so no matter what the season we've had to keep the windows open at night and due to it being a city centre hotel the noise from outside cansometimes affect your sleep - but that's to be expected given the location. We just catch up with sleep when we get home.
Location good, room nice staff pleasant had tea and coffee facilities in room. Nice bath.
View from window out back looked like vent shafts and noisy at night did not sleep to good.
No lift from ground floor to second floor, people with heavy suitcases have to manually move them to the first floor.
Right in the middle of the city and very close to Picadilly Station.
A little noisy and a lot of homeless people hanging around.
Location was good. Nice to have a choice of shower or bath. Breakfast was served very promptly and was reasonably priced. Every one seemed friendly and helpful during my stay.
Walls too thin you can hear every movement in the hotel, it was hard to sleep. Also hard to shut out the noise from the street, even with the window closed.Hard to lock the door from the inside.
Staff help me to print my boarding cards off from there main computer really appreciated this .
