Excellent location, nice friendly & helpful staff. Rooms were very clean and perfect for short stays. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay here again.
Everything. This hotel deserves more than the excellent rating. It was a great location, very friendly helpful staff, housekeeping was excellent, they provided the biggest, fluffiest towels ever! and the bathroom was very spacious. The whole place was comfortable. Loved my stay here.
Although the hotel is abit old, the hotel itself is smack bang in the middle of the city centre, which makes it ideal for all the city attractions such as Freij Wheel, National Football Museum, Manchester Cathedral etc. Close to Manchesters Arndale Shopping Centre as well. The Market Street or Piccadilly Gardens metro stations are a 2 minute walk away which is ideal for travel to an from the Manchester airport which is 45 minutes away by metro. Overall would rate this hotel well worth it!!
It's near Picadilly station so the location is great, the rooms are ok.
We wanted to stay one day less, first they told me that it won't be a problem, then they told me that I needed to inform them earlier and then they told me to call Booking.com and ask them. So I called them, they said it's not a problem, but the hotel staff did not want to refund. So we ended up paying for something we didn't use. It's really those edge cases that differentiate the hotels in my opinion. We could have thought of a better way to settle that. Also, the heating was very bad at some moments and they were unable to find me a cab when I asked.
It is very centrally located & the shower was very powerful.
the hotel in general was old and not in great repair. The window in the bathroom didn't open and there was no air vent for the steam from the shower to escape. it rained most of the time we stayed in manchester and there was constantly condensation on the inside of the bedroom and bathroom windows.
Excellent location and very helpful staff. Breakfast was ok but a bit expensive.
The room was too small and crammed for a twin bedded room. The bed was uncomfortable. The dividing walls are so thin that one can easily follow the goings on in the adjacent room. The shower mixer was faulty and water came out either freezing cold or scalding hot. The place is crying out loud for a facelift.
Staff were very helpful!!
Breakfast was a little disappointing for the price, although there was a range of things to have, the full english did not match the price of £8.50
It's overall ok. But really needs a full revamp
Old smell in the hotel needs to refurbished
Paris the receptionist is the Best One! The room is big and cozy.
you do not take what you paid for..over-priced..at 11pm i asked from the receptionist for an extra bed-sheet and the answer was that am not allowed for extra sheet..the room has only two desktop lamps..in order to have enough light in the room you have to switch on the toilet light..which is connected with the extractor which was very noise.
If traveling with infant in a pram I would not recommend this hotel- there are steps to get into the hotel, then elevator is small but okey, then we got a room on 2. Floor where it was located after 3 steps down. In the reservation I had mentioned that I would bring a pram so the reception could arrange a room suitable for my situation but did not. MAn in the lobby didn't not even offer to help when I came first to ask for other way to get in with the pram.
Poor hotel needs a refit realy poor will we stay here again no

Good location. Nice tub.
position is good.
the room was so cold, there was a problem on windows. heating system is not enough
Simple and basic accomodation. Nice staff.
Slightly noisy because of the central position.
The location was brilliant 5 mins from station and literally right next to shops - perfect
The staff were friendly and helpful.
The beds very old and extremely uncomfortable. The room was cold we spoke to reception and they brought us a storage heater that did not really work properly.
everything will be back again
Good location friendly staff clean nice breakfast
Windows need upgrading
Excellent location. Comfortable warm room but a little dated. Good nights sleep with no outside noise.Helpful staff. The price £59 made it value for money
Nothing to dislike for the price but would have been disappointed if paying the full room price of £99
Location is excellent
Rooms very cold and dated. Shower is poor. Needs a facelift, felt grotty.
