Lovely house, peaceful location, friendly hosts
gardenvale is a superb house and sits in beautiful gardens. the hosts are really friendly and made us feel at home. the food was excellent and there was plenty of it.
Setting, the charm, the interior design and general ambiance host made us very welcomed just a few wee blips
No shampoo, hair dryer, no chef to prep breakfast a piece of toast would have sufficed, returned back at 11pm to dark house felt our way up stairs to room
Me and my partner stayed here for 1 night. We were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our room which was huge! We had our own huge bathroom located just down the hall, and didnt mind that it wasnt attached to our room as it would have taken away from the size of the bedroom. Looking out the window the views were amazing. Its a 1 minute drive from the dark hedges and a 2 minute drive from a lovely restaurant. We enjoyed every second and would highly recommended this to anyone. Thankyou so much for a wonderful stay.
En-suite facilities Spacious bedroom
the house is in a beautiful setting. Owners very friendly
beautiful old house in the middle of nowhere, really calm and relaxing environment. huge rooms and a newly renovated private bathroom.
Breakfast is not included. No Wi-Fi in the bedroom. The water at the shower takes a really long time to heat up and comes almost without pressure, so you're feeling pretty cold while showering.
The grounds, building and interior are stunning. The room we were given was incredibly beautiful. The owners are also very sweet and helpful. I will definitely return to Gardenvale Manor and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit The Giant's Causeway or The Dark Hedges (Game of Thrones location).
A beautiful manor house from approach , if it's peace and tranquility you want it's perfect .
Unfortunately the modern touches did not add to the manor house grandeur it let it down .as for breakfast dissapointing! Especially as charged as extras As for wifi non excistant along with TV reception
Beautiful grounds, great location around the corner from the Dark Hedges, 20 minutes to Bushmills/Giants Causeway. Unique property with lots of character. Aristocratic style house with the room size to match.
Description on Booking could be clearer with regards breakfast (there's an additional fee).
Fabulous setting, beautiful house both inside and outside. Family very accommodating and helpful.
Staff were lovely and the house itself is beautiful. Truly idylic
Unbelievably beautiful manor house. You are part of history in this house.
Our weekend in the Gardenvale Manor house was simply perfect. From the warm relaxed greeting when we arrived we were made to feel welcome and almost one of the family. The bedroom was grand and comfortable and the house, it gardens and location are such a relaxing environment, a perfect getaway from the noise and rush of everyday life. Despite the rural location the Hedges hotel is only 3 mins away by car and offers a reasonable dinner menu or simple sandwiches and Drinks. With the Dark Hedges within walking distance, it is perfect for an evening and early morning stroll and photos after and before all the others photographers are their ! We will certainly go back the next time we need a simple and beautiful chillout .
None. The Gardenvale is exactly what it says it is. Hospitality at its best, with no pretence or formal airs and graces
The style of the place and olde fashioned comfort and warmth
Still have olde style water supply and no wi fi but hey thats part of the charm in this post game of thrones mansion
the friendliness of the staff and the elegant furniture and good food for breakfast.
nothing all was good
The location close to the Dark Hedges is excellent. Did not know it was so close. The area is one of the most beautiful countryside locations we saw on our way. Not that many possibilities for dining close by. The building as well as surroundings have a lot of character and the decoration is made well to each detail. Friendly staff!
Very gorgeous house and comfortable facilities. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It was also very near the beautiful Dark Tree Hedges.
Lack of WiFi in the room, and it would have been difficult to get to without a car.
This is an incredibly beautiful place and I'm only sorry I couldn't stay longer! The setting is also beautiful and sooo peaceful. The couple that own it are very very nice and we couldn't have been happier!
Beautiful location and lovely owners
Suite is not a suite as you would expect. Corridor to cramped shower room with no bath.
Charlie was most accomodating and friendly and did everything he could to assist us
Booked ensuite but were given a shared bathroom with no shower. Not very happy about changing us to the one ensuite in the house even though there were no other guests. Breakfast not included and very pricey
Great location and atmosphere. Beautiful garden and house. I loved our bathroom:) I also loved the rabbits in the garden. It was so amazing to meet with them.Mr Irwin the owner was so kind and showed round and showed me the little goat.
very friendly and welcoming hosts, we felt like at home
Magnificent manor, large quiet rooms surrounded by gardens, tastefully furnished, lovely hosts.
Nothing really. Some who like to be real close to the action may not like, but you won't get a better B and B for style and value.
The properties is amazing Food was good Location is great
