Simple, comfortable, good breakfast
nice owners good breakfast central location traditional old English ambiance
parking may be difficult after 17.00 windows on busy street very tight quarters
THIS PLACE IS VERY GOOD PLACE TO STAY ALSO YOU ARE NEAR TO THE GREAT CENTRAL RAILWAY AND SHOPS.
It was everything I expected because I have stayed there before,
I had to go downstairs in order to get a cup to make a cup of tea in my room because there was not one there.
The staff were very friendly and helpful with advice where to eat and drink Very near the center
Helpful Staff Location
Noise from the road because the room was warm and we needed t leave the window open
Everything about this guesthouse was great, including it was only 5 minutes walk to the Great Central Railway.
Picture on advert slightly misleading
Garendon Park was perfectly situated for my son and me to visit the Loughborough University open day. Upon our late arrival friendly hosts pointed us in the direction of the many nearby eateries ( The Goa Indian restaurant is a must) Good nights sleep in clean, very comfy beds with REALLY comfortable pillows! Fabulous tasty full English Breakfast set us up well for the day....Over all great value for money!
The location was perfect for the things we wanted to do we were given a large comfy room and will definitely be paying another visit there soon
The location, friendly, clean and comfortable.
Friendliness of the staff
I didn't like the fact you had two barking dogs in the hotel, a torn chair in the dining area, a ladder just in front of my room and I wasn't even told the wifi code as you will expect it to be in your room or given at reception
The welcoming from the owner even though I arrived later than expected. The overall comfort of the room with attractive décor. A very good breakfast in the morning.
Finding the place was a bit of a challenge at night (esp on account of roadworks which of course was not attributable to the B & B)
teas in room
noise from the road
Nice clean hotel. Excellent breakfast. Wi Fi works a treat and parking is free nearby. Much better than a boring Travelodge.
Good location, friendly and helpful staff, value for money

Location for visit to Great Central Railway
Parking facilities and traffic noise
Friendly staff and guests like being in someones house
The Proprietor and his wife were very helpful with our inquiries, very friendly and put us very much at ease during our stay.Very comfortable room and excellent breakfast each day! Recommended to all.
There was nothing to dislike about Garendon Park.
I stayed one night in a single room as i needed somewhere to stay after working in the area. The welcome was great and the hosts were very friendly.
I was given a room at the front of the hotel and noise from the road during the night was terrible. I had read previous reviews online stating this too but it was especially bad during the night. Due to the proximity of the road i don't think much could be done to minimise this problem. The banging of doors in the hallway was quite bad, the kettle was a little worn and tired with limescale on the inside and a lot of noise could be heard from the next room. Horrific snoring and road noise kept me awake for the majority of the night so i did not get the sleep and peace and quiet i wanted. Again issues which cause irritation and frustration but i am not sure there is anything the landlords can do about this.
Good value for money, clean and nice breakfast too. Staff friendly and helpful.
The beds are worn beyond worn out. Really they do need replacing, might help me decide to stay elsewhere next time.
Cheap, clean,friendly,good location, Breakfast
Bit tight for space but okay for the money
Big and comfortable bed.
not soundproof bedroom sound of an electric motor in the bathroom there were no sockets near the bed to plug a mobile or Tablet. there were no shelves inside the shower to support anything on. there were no car park. nearby public car park had to be paid from 8am to 6pm (not sure the hours). And it was not posible to do a quick stop in front of the main door to take off the suitcases from the car.
