Convenient situation, and helpful staff
Room too warm, and pillows too soft, otherwise more than expected
the bed was very comfy .
swimming pool closed looked in window it was in a real state ceiling all over the floor. price for stay should be less.
Pleasant decor Ability to check in late reassuring Helpful night staff
Room temperature very cold and I was unable to re set myself. Limited floor space. Slight mould in bathroom. Despite amending room booking over the phone two days previously and being quoted new room price, the re-calculation was not updated at reception and it took a lot of time and uncomfortable discussion with the member of staff at reception when I came to check out to ensure the price I had been quoted by her co worker (it was verified I was told during the time I called by their supervisor ) was the price I would pay. The member of staff dealing with it agreed in the end but I am upset having had a price confirmed to me over the phone that I would have that questioned despite verifying exactly the time of my call so they could track the member of staff who initially dealt with my call and still request I pay a higher price than the quote I had been given. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and would be unlikely to choose the brand again. I work for a touring company and have considered booking days inn previously yet this experience leads me to question their customer relations and set policy for booking amendments.
Quality of sleep The staff remembered our dogs name form our last stay for all the right reasons. he is so well behaved!! Breakfast is always a winner with us. plenty to eat, you wont go hungry!!
Although we did need to move rooms, it was done very quickly and politely.
Helpful staff Spa facilities Breakfast was fine On site parking Wifi was OK
No real problems but could they leave a bit more milk in the rooms for tea/coffee. Beware of infant swimming lessons in the pool - they clear you out of the pool but you can still use the hot tub, sauna and steam room. Pool etc could do with a bit of a tidy up and re-paint.
The gym was good.
The building had a damp issue which was a bit of putting, also pool was small and we was un-aware as guest we wasn't allowed to use it as they had child swim classes.
The facilities were good as were the staff
One day we had no hot water and for the whole stay 3 nights we had no heating, we requested a heater and didn't receive one of these either
Location Very easy to find Good sized twin room
Noise of other guests woke me
Being out next to a couple who argued and had their music on even though I was with my young family. Staff dealt with it though but ruined my stay.
The swimming pool and Jacuzzi was a nice added bonus.
The fact that there was a party in the function room. (Id stated in comments when booking, a quiet room.) We could hear it all night, past midnight. There then was arguing and swearing near to our door. At 2am there was a girl screaming as she thought her room had been broken in to! Not a pleasant stay at all. Rooms were OK, but dated. The swimming pool had a large window broken with a sheet up at it! Just a little could be done to tidy it up. Shame really. If booking Id check with the hotel there isn't a function on?!?
The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is in need of being over hauled. By the pool a window was broken on the emergency exit door. A sheet had been placed over the door and the door was unrepaired.
Room was booked as a family room but the hotel recieved the booking as a double. This was rectified straight away with no quibbles. The kids enjoyed the pool. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly, polite and accomodating. Food was nice enough. Wifi was quick.
Parking spaces are a squeeze so be careful if you have kids getting in and out of your car. Not a lot of information in the room regarding what is near by. We took a drive into garden city to find that there was a Spar, Chinese takeaway and a chippy. Not major issues!!!
Really had a nice stay..just could hear the traffic in the night because next to motorway and noise could be heard through closed windows...otherwise everything else was good breakfast was lovely
Good location, not too far from Chester City center. Was what we expected to be fair. Very friendly receptionist when greeted and leaving.
Rooms could do with being updated, everything seemed a bit dated. Stains on tables, mould on the walls in the bathrooms! Would have no problems if rooms had a bit more attention to detail.
Its location was excellent for what we wanted to do. 1 and half hrs from Holyhead. 10/15 mins from all the shops we wanted to visit! Including Chester/Cheshire Oaks etc. Lots of outdoor parking which facilitated our roof box!! Clean safe hotel with really helpful and friendly staff Highly recommend it to all our friends planning a trip away.
Road noise...not too bad
Travelled down for the marathon, and as only 4 miles from Chester it was the ideal spot, the receptionist was polite, smiling and very helpful, The gym and pool looked good but didn't get time to try these out, The room was clean and ideal for us stopping overnight, overall it was a nice good clean hotel. There was a 18th birthday party going on in one of the suites at the end of the corridor but to be fair to them we never heard them all night so yes I would probably stay there again.
The only downside was it is situated right next to the M56 and you can here the cars up and down here all night so if you are a light sleeper I would probably give this place a miss.
Very comfortable stay friendly staff
Road noise and no air conditioning
Staff friendly, breakfast good
We only chose this hotel as it had a pool as per my daughters request for her 7th birthday, only to find in the morning when we went to the pool we were denied access as there was a swimming lesson! My daughter was very upset, we were even given towels at reception and changed into our swimsuits before we were told! Very poor! Also in our room 220 under the bed hadn't been hoovered in sometime...
Leisure centre Fantastic food in the restaurant Brilliant and friendly staff Parking Comfortable room and good bathroom
Thin walls - heard next door's TV, etc. a lot Very busy & noisy road outside.
Pool and facilities
Restaurant didn't have great choice
too close to main road with constant travel noise
Not value for money. Breakfast average. Noise of party until 2am.
Staff arranged a taxi for us to Chester. Breakfast was very good.
Asked for double beds, but got twin
