Bed was really uncompfortable
The site said it was close to the park and ride which lead us to believe within walking distance. It's not! It's £12 taxi ride
Friendly helpful staff Nice pool/ gym Good size room
Room next to gym. Woken at 6.20am by somebody hitting punchbag then music blasting out for an hour
Location to main motorway.
Leisure facilities poor, bedroom 205 sounded like it had an antiquated boiler right above ceiling going on and off all night!Room was so hot with no control! Our eldest son cut his foot on sofa bed, when staff were told we received nothing more than a 'oh,sorry about that!'Would not stay here ever again!
We arrived at the hotel late on Valentine's day to be told they didn't have a room for us and couldn't understand why Booking.com had confirmed our reservation. They eventually found us a twin. Soon so romantic. if we'd booked directly with the hotel we could have had 3 course meal, wine and a box of chocs for £99 and maybe a double bed
Facilities for health and fitness were good if not a little limited. The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to assist. The food was very good value and the breakfasts were vert hearty!
Once the beds were made up in the room there was very little room for 4 to manoeuvre around and no where other than the bed to sit. Seemed very warm even with the heating off for the time of year. Room was close to A55 so noisy with window open.
That it was only 5 miles away from where I was heading the next day.
The bathroom was so awful it put me off even checking out the pool & that's all I'd chosen the hotel for.
Lessons on in the swimming pool every evening, limiting swim facilities and room for others to use the pool.
The hotel was dirty, smelt really bad, family room was tiny more suitable for a single room & pretty much everything was broken!
Location of hotel Good Food Friendly staff Local bus service to Chester meant i could leave the car at the hotel
We have stayed here before and have never had any reason to complain
Friendly staff. Awesome fully equipt Gym Large heated Swimming Pool Free parking Good Wi Fi access Comfortable clean room
Lift was broken when we arrived, so we had to drag our cases up the stairs! Jacuzzi not working either.
Most helpful with a smile. lovely accommodation.
Jacuzzi wasn't working everything else good. Lovely stay.
Tv was good quality
Room smelt of damp
Great staff and facilities
However learnt it was first day of opening after a refurbishment and there was no heating. 0c outside, offered heaters but never arrived. Two duvets and coats on.
Booked this hotel for the swimming pool but on arrival informed it was closed due to roof collapsing. Noisy central heating and lots of road noise. Also overcharged and staff were slow to correct.
We have visited many days inns in the U S the standard at this one is comparable and would recommend it for young old and family's. thanks form Allan & Mary Stacey
Heating not working but fan heater provided
no swimming pool.
Breakfast always a winner and the staff are great with our little dog. Looking forward to our next stay in the next few weeks.
Disappointing house keeping on this stay but never been an issue on our previous 5 stays at this hotel. Staff put everything right in good time.
The staff were friendly
That if you were heading northbound you had to go past and turnaround. I should have realised this is a motorway service station motel.
Honest and cheerful. Pleasant greeting from Claire on reception. Clean, warm and comfy. Close to takeaway that delivered so I could work in my room. Free wi-fi.
Nothing without nit-picking.
Convenient situation, and helpful staff
Room too warm, and pillows too soft, otherwise more than expected
the bed was very comfy .
swimming pool closed looked in window it was in a real state ceiling all over the floor. price for stay should be less.
Pleasant decor Ability to check in late reassuring Helpful night staff
Room temperature very cold and I was unable to re set myself. Limited floor space. Slight mould in bathroom. Despite amending room booking over the phone two days previously and being quoted new room price, the re-calculation was not updated at reception and it took a lot of time and uncomfortable discussion with the member of staff at reception when I came to check out to ensure the price I had been quoted by her co worker (it was verified I was told during the time I called by their supervisor ) was the price I would pay. The member of staff dealing with it agreed in the end but I am upset having had a price confirmed to me over the phone that I would have that questioned despite verifying exactly the time of my call so they could track the member of staff who initially dealt with my call and still request I pay a higher price than the quote I had been given. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and would be unlikely to choose the brand again. I work for a touring company and have considered booking days inn previously yet this experience leads me to question their customer relations and set policy for booking amendments.
