We didn't have any hot water the hotel is lovely but needs a lot of decoration to update as it has a lot of damage to paint work all over and the showers have marks in them
The TV in our room wasnt working so we were upgraded to an amazing large room for a budget price.
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, a 15 min drive to the nearest town. Parts of the hotel are a bit dated too.
The pillow is hard And My neck hurt And the pressure Inter shoes was a bit low
the ambience of the manor was lovely, the staff were excellent and the evening meal was superb. Breakfast was unavailable as there were problems with equipment in kitchen had to eat off premises
The room was atrocious, the matresses were out of the ark so uncomfortable none of us slept. The windows were streaming with condenstation hence the paint was pealing on the window cills, there were damp patches on the wall, wonderfull for my asthma! would never stay there again and would not reccomend.
The staffwere excellent on my arrival at reception and in the bar area. Food was good a very quick service
Poor mobile phone service unless you go outside by the flag poles!!
Good location , quiet
Dinner poor, awful coffee. All needs refurb.
The establishment was peaceful and quiet.
No internet access on the first night and there was no mobile phone signal there.
Food very good
Terrible wifi and TV service
Big rooms Nice decorated. Beautiful grounds Great breakfast
general areas could do with a spruce up!
peaceful and quiet location, very comfy beds
no mobile signal Vodafone, very poor signal EE, hotel WiFi non-existent
staff sorting wedding had loud music playing which they turned off as soon as I went down, but be aware some rooms are right over the bar/ function room and will not be quiet when events are on! The bar restaurant was not super clean, food was substandard.
Where do I start ? 1/. The bedsheet had a spot of dried blood on it. 2/. No restraunt menu in the room 3/. I originally booked a double when I amde the booking, when I arrived I was given a twin room, and only after complaining I was given a double to then be told on checking out that I should not have had a double?? 4/. I was awoken at 6.30am by the loud music from the gym class, I commented on this when I checkied out only to be told that the gym c;ass is run by a seperate business, so its 'nowt to do with us' !! 5/. The WiFi pass code was hidden behind the kettle away from the desk, so I was unable to log on as the hotel reception was not manned later on. All that was missing was Bazil & Sybil !!!
Dated furniture. Needs redecorating
needs refurbishment -very poor look
Location, very nice grounds. Food good value for money and good quality. Beds, very comfortable mattresses and pillows Room sizes, very generous
No mobile phone signal was a big concern. If this had been pointed out before booking we could have let relatives etc know how to contact us. Also the WiFi was very poor and could only get limited internet on some public areas and none at all in the rooms. This would make a business trip extremely difficult. Cleanliness in the room at first glance seemed good but when I plugged my phone charger in by the bed my hand was covered in cobwebs and when I looked where it had come from the was a discarded cotton ear bud from a previous guest
makes a good affordable base to explore the Surrey countryside.
if there are any negatives , we didn't stay long enough to experience them.
There is no mobile phone signal. Flakey Internet wifi access
Great course and convenience of staying right next to it.
Poor stock in pro-shop, rest stop at 9th not properly manned to suit golf timings, poof wi-finreception
Lovely views from the bedroom. Excellent meals. The gardens were, in places, overgrown. However, work appeared to be in progress to sort this out. We would definately revisit again.
The exterior was 'tired' and is in need of repair and paint.
Grounds were lovely. This place is in a lovely setting, thats were it ends unfortunately.
Not a comfortable stay....very noisy, beds not comfortable, tables were sticky needed cleaning. Food was overpriced. Bedroom was clean however needs urgent modernisation. Would NOT go back.
Food - good value
No mobile signal
Great location deep in the Surrey countryside. Golfers (not me) will probably overlook the shortcomings of this hotel.
No staff on the reception desk in the evening. This was a very poor welcome. No help with bags. Bed not very comfortable. No shower in bathroom. Mediocre breakfast.
Very noisy, my backed onto a courtyard used by the staff for their breaks etc. After a long all I wanted to do was sleep. The staff started a little party from 11.30pm until 2:00pm plying pool with music going laughing and joking with the doors open. as it was a hot evening I had the window open and it was extremely annoying. Then at 6:00am the morning staff started by one staff member clearing his nose and throat right by my window! Awful night - not what you'd expect!
The location and lovely setting and wonderful buildings. All staff so helpful and friendly
