For me, staying in this hotel was just the perfect way to spend a few days in London without staying in the mostly horrible and overpriced city-hotels! Horley is a lovely, green and quiet little town, the hotel is in a nice little old villa, a nightingale (or was it?) was singing outside my window! The transfer from/to the Gatwick Airport organised by the hotel is easy, quick (5-10 min.) and cheap. Another strong side: the family that runs the place - they do everything themselves and they couldn't be more helpful, friendly and nice! This is also something you won't find easily in the city! I had a lovely room at the backyard, with my own entrance. The bed was big and extremely comfortable, the heating turned itself on the first day, because it was really cool, and it worked very well, the bathroom (shower) wasn't big, but perfectly comfortable, the WiFi worked very well too. The full english breakfast was great and at a very good price! There are a few pubs and restaurants within 5-10 min. walk, I've been to a pub (Foresters) and found it lovely. And another great thing: in less than 10 min. walk down a green crescent you get to the railway station of Horley, from which you get easily to London Victoria! (The direct train takes only 36 minutes, an off-peak return ticket costs £9.10) And the trains back are going all through the night, so you can get back to your hotel anytime at all! So you can enjoy the clean air and q quiet sleep in Horley and still take advantage of all the excitements of London! Many thanks to the Bhanot family and I'm sure I'll be back!
