I have stayed at the Gatwick Belmont many times. I like that they pick you up at the airport and deliver you for your next flight. I love the full English breakfast that is provided. I find the staff very helpful and if you are going to be out very late it is no problem as they have a staff member on hand all night long. I like the help the staff give me for finding train schedules, etc. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and comfortable. I like that I can get a meal and drinks there instead of having to go out to another establishment.

My wife and I stayed at the Gatwick Belmont because of location to the airport, the pick up from the airport and return the next morning was very good. We would remember this should we travel that way again, we would stay there again. The one night stay at the Hotel was good , However we were disturbed by new guest coming in about 3.a.m in the morning, they were rather niosy settleing in a room above us. We did plan on dining in the bar around about 4.30-5p.m, it wasn't open so we went into a little town nearby to have a drink and something to eat.

The receptionist was lovely when I arrived, nice smile and very friendly. The room was spacious and very clean The room at the front was a tad noisy heard traffic and planes through the night, but what do you expect next to an airport!

Good and convenient location, good breakfast, good quality for the reasonable price. Bed a bit too soft to our taste, but otherwise no problem.

The staff is extremely friendly and warm welcoming. Free early morning one way airport transfer, cheap and reasonable price charged for extra airport transfer. Very near to the airport so you can get good rest after getting off from long journey flights. Near to train station with train straight to london city centre. Easy to get some food from grocery stores nearby. The price of stay is a lot cheaper than london city'S. The beds are a bit soft, but they are fine.

This hotel is in a quiet neighbourhood with a wonderful walk to (high street). There is no hustle and bustle, the cafe shops were friendly and we actually found an English Bakery (the latter is becoming a rarity). Walking through these streets was peaceful and charming. The dining facilities at the hotel had excellent food. The two twin beds were a bit flimsy, too soft.

We stayed as a one night stop over to catch a flight from Gatwick to save us an early drive the same day as our flight. It is ideally situated for the airport and you can leave your car if you wish and they will take you and pick you up from the airport. It's only a few minutees and the rates are a lot cheaper than the airport parking. The room was fine , good firm bed, clean etc with en-suite and tea and coffee. No frills ie hairdyers or irons but great for a short stay. They do food which we didn't get chance to try but the menu was varied and there is a bar. It's only a short walk into Horley which has a few shops and a nice pub. We will definately stay again when flying from Gatwick. Not really a complaint but if you arrive late the food stopped at 9pm.

It was convenient, clean and inexpensive, exactly what we needed for a one night stay before a very early morning flight out of Gatwick. We had to leave at 6 am -- well before the restaurant opened for breakfast.

Excellent location, just over 5 minutes walk from Horley rail station, which is 2 minutes by train from Gatwick airport - trains run all night, single fare £1.50. Staff friendly and helpful, even double checking my train times on internet, after I had declined the shuttle bus option to airport. Continental breakfast offered as we were leaving early (cooked breakfast would have been available later), good selection of freshly prepared food, and very good value. Staff (manager?) was very welcome and friendly, hotel was clean and well presented (inside and out), would not hesitate in going back there for overnight before flying to/from Gatwick. Rooms/shower room a little on the small side, but not a problem for a one night stay. Room was close to entrance door/car park so was disturbed a couple of times with guests coming/going during the night.

Cheap and cheerful. Bar drinks very expensive and no discount for not having breakfast as we had to leave for the airport very early. Location for Gatwick brilliant, but the rooms were as scored above and the facilities basic in the extreme.

I iked its location it was perfectly located for where I needed to be. We were given an outside room with 1 double be and on single bed there was another bed stuffed into a storage room in the room but it was too heavy to lift on my own and if I could have lifted it there was not enough room in the room to put it any where, there was no lock on the bathroom door so it was swinging open and the carpets were filthy dirty. There was a curtain in the roon but no net curtain so once the curtain was open everyone could see into the room. I feel that because we were staying for 5 days that we should have been given a room inside the hotel it felt a bit like a caravan park. It was not worth the money we paid and the breakfast should have been included in the price for what we paid

the bed was very confortable compared to other places i have stayed and the breakfast was excellent too, i asked for a ground floor room if possible as i am registered disabled and am unable to go up and down stairs and was pleased that i got one but i found it difficult to get into the bathroom and a grab rail would have been useful.

Very convenient for Gatwick airport especially if you have an early morning flight like we did and they have a shuttle every 30 minutes to take you there. Very geared up for the traveller as in early morning breakfasts, wake up calls, luggage & car storage facilities etc. Very nice bathrooms. The supper we had in the restaurant was lovely. The rooms are very small but it is fine for 1 night. The continental breakfasts could be a lot nicer, just toast and jam and cereals.

The fact that we were only there for a very short time! Ut was closevto the airport an dthe kidsvliked the green lights outside. Where to start. The carpets were all very worn. The wall paper was ripped. The bathroom smelled of wee. The springs stuck out of the mattresses. When we made a coffee in the morning someone had obviously either beached of washed the kettle with liquid and not rinsed it so the taste was disgusting. It really was so bad we had to laugh and treat it as an experience but it does take the title of worst hotel I have ever stayed in!,

The staff were very pleasant and were more than happy to collect me from Gatwick Airport train station and bring me back to the hotel at the beginning of our evening there. The food was excellent, very fresh, homemade, good sized portions and prepared with care. It was very convenient for an overnight stop before an early flight, which was the reason we chose this hotel.

The free shuttle to the airport. The close proxitmity to the railway system. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would have like for the hot breakfast to start around 5:30 or 5:45 instead of 7. Early flights that at within the EU don't generally get a meal on the plane. The continental breakfast was available but very limited. Did not like having to pay for parking for one night stay. If someone is staying at the hotel free parking should be included.

The Gatwick Belmont is an enjoyable hotel. It's well kept and nicely decorated. It has an authentic English pub on the first floor that serves good food made when ordered. The buffet breakfast was fresh and hot. There is parking available just in front of the hotel. The Horley train station is a 5 minutes walk away with regular trains into London Victoria. The staff proved very helpful and friendly throughout our 3 night stay. The en suite family room, although seemingly the best 2 rooms in the house, was not ideal with a family that has 3 small children. However, we made due and had a great time. All other aspects of the hotel were wonderful. Also to note - if you plan on getting into London from Horley train station earlier than 9:30, expect to pay a high rate for the train tickets.
