Very adequate accommodation at a great price. A gold star for manging to provide rooms for smokers - a rare but necessary service for some. Well done to the proprietors! Many of the rooms are not accessible and have a lot of stairs with no lift available.

The resturant staff and food was excellent The room was cold no heating when told the reception kept telling us to wait 5 minutes they had put it on, after an hour sat in the cold they said we could change rooms but by then my 5 year old grandson was asleep, so we were offered and given a portable heater which was not very good. On check out was told they would look into it. So my stay was not as good as usual.

It was very comfortable clean and the staff were extremely helpful. Only one criticism no lift. As the hotel covers 3 floors it really is a must, especially for the older guest with luggage. The staff were very willing to help with luggage but old knees did not like the stairs

The friendly welcome. The size of our room - it was huge and the en-suite bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was excellent. The room was too hot.

The hotel is very convenient for Gatwick and has secure on-site parking, which we used when flying out. Staff were also really friendly. Not being able to open the bedroom window.

we liked the fact that it was close to gatwick and had smoking rooms and tea coffee facilities in the room but the negatives were after a long flight we got to the hotel and our room was across the car park and three flights of stairs up to our room with two heavy suitcases hand luggage and no lift, also was disapointed that we could not get a drink as there was no bar or restaurant, had to walk to nearest shop to buy bottle water and had to venture out to pub for drink and bite to eat not ideal after a very long flight and feeling jet lagged, but hotel was clean and had good room facilities.

Closeness to Crawley Hospital and Motorways. Room was quite musty and needed a good spring clean! Bed was also too small, as I am 6ft 4in tall!

What did I like is more relevant. I lived in Crawley in the early 70's and remember visiting the bar and restaurant at the George on several occassions and it was lovely. When we needed somewhere to stay in Crawley I picked the George, the fact that it is now a Ramada I thought would be good. It turned out to be one of the worst hotels we have stayed at and we will NOT be repeating the experience.

Working in the industry I was impressed with check-in and offer of being shown to my room. Once in the room all of the facilities were explained and again the offer of needing anything else to contact reception.

I don't want to sound critical however, for the money that I spent, the Toilet would not flush and the Internet computer rejected my Pound coins which was inconvenient, embarrassing and I fell dreadfully behind on my E-Mails. My business will see me in your area much more in the future since my territory has been altered, I hope to find the confidence that I will feel that my money was well spent in the future. Thankyou, Allan Stevenson.

Its location to the town center and facilities of Crawley plus the room size The shower curtain was too short allowing water to spill on the bathroom floor. Just a cosmetic issue but potential falling hazard

The room was nice, with everything to hand. Parking was difficult as it was hard to work out where I was supposed to park as I arrived after dark and had to do a 48 point turn to get out as it was impossible to tell if I was in the hotels spaces, or another firms. I booked on line, but then wanted to pay by cash, and was told on reception that I would need to provide a £100 cash deposit in order to settle my room in this way. I am 49 and was dressed in a suit and provided my business card, but the staff member simply said it company policy, which wasn't made clear either on the booking form or anywhere at the hotel. However, given the clientele was understandable - I had a poor nights sleep due to other clients shouting, singing, banging about the corridors and generally making a nuisance of themselves all throughout the night. Add to that the very loud noises from the amorous couple in the room above me........

A warm inviting hotel with pleasant staff and large rooms. Fair sized bathrooms with everything you could need in your room. Very creaky in the old section of the building but due to the history here we can't moan too much.
