Better room, warm and in the main part of the hotel
Good self service breakfast. Town centre near shops, bars and restaurants.
Walked from reception along warm corridors but noticed a drop in temperature after the fire door near the end of the corridor. In my room the radiator was barely warm and after having food I came back it was cold. It never got warm again. I was warm enough in bed but the room was very cold.
Brilliant location and perfect for a Christmas shopping trip with my Daughter
The beds were sooooo uncomfortable, the mattresses desperately need replacing
All good as usual except no heating on in November??
Facilities and comfort have scored low as there was no heating on even though it was November and the outside temperature was as low as 6C
Rooms were clean
good location and fair price
booked a twin rooms for two of my fitters.on arrival they where told unless i send them now a confirmation they can charge my company card they could not stay.they ring me about 5.30 and im not able to do so.unless i do then they cant stay.ok so if they walk away and dont stay then my credit card will be charged for not having the room?madness, really rude person.never staying again
Strange smell in the corridors Toilet flush handle broken The construction workers who started getting up at 5am on Sunday morning
Room 409 size more like having a small flat. All for £49 would stay here again
Thought the morning breakfast was poor very disappointing could do with being more organised. But to be fair it's only £5 if you book with your room just don't expect to much.
Central and nice staff
Location is very central to the historic High Street
It's a bit tired and in need of an upgrade. I found it a bit noisy but very good value
Strong smell of curry in passageway to our room.
Bin men 5am emptying glass bottle bins in the court yard entrance was enough to wake the dead !! But that's the only fault with the hotel
Only a 15 minute drive to the valet parking
Difficult to find, poor signage, tired decor, no lift
it seemed we were in some additional building other than the main hotel. the shower was very poor and I had to complain that the bath didn't drain very well and needed some attention. The breakfast was very good but to sum up we thought it very dissapointing
Great location, the old building is very charming. Nice people and we look forward to stay there again, someday!
Access to the town centre and the cleanliness of the rooms
Hotel was a bit too hot
location , price , everything really , I would recommend for Business use
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfasts. Location excellent.
Cars revving most of the night. Bottles smashing as someone seemed to be filling the recycle bin every night. Fire doors being propped open by cleaning staff for many hours. They even used fire extinguishers to prop them open!
Staff were polite and friendly Room was clean
Poor maintenance Bedside light missing bulb Mirror held together with tape Cracked bath panel with poor attempt at repair Very slow drain of bath
Restaurant for breakfast
A bit run down. Refurbishment required.
Friendly staff Location Price
Decor of the outside of the Annex. The door looks like its been smashed open and then hastily replaced.
Plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby. Free parking. Room was clean.
Parking didn't feel safe. Neither did the entry to the Sussex building, where our room was (next to parking). Bed was too small for two people and very uncomfortable. If staying at this hotel, bring earplugs, as there is noise early in the morning.
Not a bad stop over
It was clean. Easy to find.
The room smelt horrible. No-one at reception on both occasions. Entrance door has seen better days. Outside annexe not appealing at 3 am for lone woman traveller.
