Best Western Gatwick Moat House  

When on special price this is a good nightstop hotel for Gatwick Airport. They have their own bus that runs every 30mins to and from the airport for £3.50 each . The rooms are clean and have all you need including 60mins free internet. Good size bathrooms as well. A 6 minute walk away using the shortcut through the churchyard is Ye Olde Six Bells pub. Lots of poor reviews but the beer was drinkable and the meal reasonably priced with free bottle of wine on the night we were there, so plenty of dutch courage for the walk back at midnight ! Hotel can book taxi to airport for £6 so if two or more this better offer and you go when you want not to the bus time.

All Best Western Gatwick Moat House beds where very hard and uncomfortable,the bed clothes made my entire family itch and they brought us all out in a rash we hardly slept at all! Which is unacceptable for any establishment, especialy if you need a good nights sleep for traveling, business,etc.In our case it ruined the first few days of our holiday as we were tired and took us a while to catch up on a lost nights sleep,and we could not go out in the sun until we had cleared up the rash on our skin with germolene.this was for us a once in a life time trip to Florida, with the first few days ruined by Best Western Gatwick Moat House beds.

Unable to comment on facilities due to shortness of stay - overnight convenience for catching early flight. Found staff friendly and room comfortable.

Hotel is very convenient for Gatwick,with regular buses to and fro. The rooms are clean and quite spacious and relatively quiet given the proximity to the airport and relateively high amount of fellow travellers. Would definitely stay there again.The price was also good value.

Room was very warm.Air conditioning was not set to provide cool air in our room anyway. Managed to open the window to the allowed amount which did help.

I live in Spain, so fly into uk before flying out on holiday from Gatwick or Heathrow and I find the Moat House convenient, good value and helpful friendly staff.

We have stayed at this hotel before and were in the past very pleased with the service and facilities.

This visit we were unhappy because the room was vastly overheated and there was no way to cool the room down even by opening the windows. We spent a very uncomfortable night, and in retrospect should have demanded another room.

It is ideal if you have any early flight from gatwick as the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the airport and the bus goes every 15 minutes. There is a bar and a resturaunt also.

The one I stayed in was at Gatwick airport and it made the transistion to the airport really easy. The staff were helpful and I am staying there again next time I go away.

The hotel is pleasant and the room I had was clean, quiet and comfortable. The price is attractive and the Moat House is conveniently located for early morning flights. The bus service is prompt and reasonably priced. I shall stay again.

In the restaurant:- The food was overcooked. The menu was limited. Not many healthy choices eg: Low carb dishes
