The rooms badly need upgrading & redecorating. Bathroom in very poor state of repair. Large parts of the wall with bubbling plaster and missing paint. Tiles broken & missing. The food both dinner & breakfast was of a very poor standard.

Check in / out efficient. Bathroom was clean albeit towels were very frayed! The hotel was uncomfortable and did not assist a good night's sleep: Throughout the night the ventilation/heating/pipes kept periodically tapping and then whooshing as if they were starting up then simmering down. I thought this may have been only my room but as I walked through the corridors in the morning to reception it seemed the whole hotel suffered. Bedwise the mattress was uncomfortable and the pillows were poor quality with stuffing kept separating. TV quality poor.

It is within a few minutes drive of the airport, which makes a difference for early morning flights. The transfer coach is reliable and reasonably priced. The swimming pool is a useful commodity after travelling for several hours. The reception staff are efficient. The quality of the rooms varies a great deal, some are very much better than others. There is no lift-a great disadvantage when travelling on your own as a female with a medium weight suitcase. Many of the furnishings in the rooms are in need of refurbishment.

Good location, close to the airport, without aircraft noise The hotel desperately needs a complete refurbishment. The public rooms are outdated and shabby. The corridor and stair carpets are threradbare, and the paint throughout needs repanting.

The bar was open late Our bathroom only had hot water. The gatwick shuttle cost more than a taxi for the 4 of us. It needs redecorating. The beds were not comfortable and whoever made them needs to be retaught, when pulling the covers free from being tucked under the corners, the bed sheets came loose too. The breakfast was very expensive! We had to stay there, all other hotels were full, we got a deal and paid £110 for two twin rooms for one night! They have a sign up saying a twin room costs £120 a night! I feel very sorry for anyone who paid that because it is not worth what we paid, let alone that! The gatwick worth hotel needs to recognise it's not a luxury hotel!

The room was ok except that it was very noisy - not sure what it was - a boiler or something similar - didn't sleep well at all.

Had a bar and restaurant. Large and comfortable bedroom.... ...but it was noisy (plumbing/central heating related) Partially resolved as Operations Manager accepted our complaint and responded favourably.

The staff at reception, kayleigh was one of them, were nice and friendly but I can't say there was anything I liked about the actual hotel, It's in a good location but thats about as far as it goes. Although a non smoking hotel the room we were allocated stunk of smoke, after speaking to reception they agreed and moved us to another room. The 2nd room we were in had no water pressure so we were unable to shower the following morning. We were offered shower facilities on another floor of the hotel which was far from ideal, so in the end we went without. The room was clean enough but a bit dated. I'm glad we were there for only the one night. Bar prices were also a bit on the steep side. I'm glad we didn't pay full price.

The room was large, spacious and clean. The tv was old, only got 4 channels and had bad reception. The walls were very thin which meant that you heard people from the surrounding rooms, people walking up and down the corridor and because people are coming and going all throughout the night I found it hard to sleep.

Check in was busy with only one person attending to guests, so a queue was builing very quickly, not ideal. No lift, so had to lug heavy cases up 2 flights of stairs, not ideal.

Convenient location Place is being converted to a Holiday Inn, lots of building works going on. No hot water in the morning as boiler 'tripped' and all rooms without hot water. Hotel compensated by giving complementary english breakfast.
