Excellent location in isolated valley. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Hardly anyone staying there on our trip. Popular with locals for meals in the excellent resaurant. Grounds are intersting and contan holiday cottages which ar definately worth investigting. Will stay here again when in the area. Nothing not to like but bear in mind that this is a 3 star hotel, do not judge it against higher rated establishments.

We had one of the self catering cottages which was beautiful - warm and welcoming and well equipped. We wish we could have stayed longer but as we have contacts with Ffald-y-Brenin we will be back. Friends of ours from our home area recommended you to us as they have stayed with you also. The breakfast was top class - many thanks. We are cat lovers so it would be nice if you had one!! The fridge was a bit noisy at night but we didn't have much in it so we switched it off.

It was really handy having a first class restuarant side by side with a self contained cottage. It gave the best of both worlds. The location was superb and just what was needed to get away from the hectic life in the real world. The slight problem we had with a tap int he bathroom was handled quickly and eit was explained to us why.fficiently and although the tacould not be repaired

Nothing very much. Breakfst staff very attentive. The room was in poor condition. Wallpaper coming away from the wall no bedside light on one side of the bed. Light in bedroom very poor unable to read. Bar area taken over by a loud group making it difficult to order pre dinner drinks. Discription says the hotel is five miles from fishguard more like eight down a single track.

The surroundings were lovely and the facilities, restaurant and room were better than expected. A pleasant surprise! The sign-posting in Wales and the directions provided were less than stellar (though we obviously did manage to find it!).

Good food, but on a limited menu. Friendly staff The Peace and Quiet Access to good beaches The rooms were 'tired' and the bed was uncomfortable, this was reported to the Hotel. There were very limited 'brochures etc' detailing events in the area. We booked the Executive Room , but were given a Family Room, however, we were not aware of this until after we checked out and had paid the bill.

The location was remote, tricky to find but a beautiful setting. Well situated for Cardigan Bay The room. Very out -dated, old fashioned furniture, very uncomfortable bed. Old fashioned and limited television. No view whatsoever from this particular room Hall and breakfast room very pleasant then extremely disappointing stairs and landing Grim.

Our 2-bedroom cottage was very spacious, had all mod-cons, at a very affordable price. An ideal base to explore the hills, towns and beaches of South-West Wales, and to chill out at night time. WiFi is working inside our cottage. No mobile phone coverage.

We hired two cottages, one for my husband & me and the other for our two teenagers. Their upper level cottage was excellent. Ours was not near that standard, needing redecoration and suffering from damp. Staff happily gave us another on the ground floor as it was available, which was considerably better, though not as interesting a layout or as light as our girls' upper level one, and noisy from above. Based on the final arrangements, the accommodation was very nice overall. The surrounding countryside was outstanding. The hotel was run unobtrusively with a variety of services available. There was plenty of information in the cottages about Pembrokeshire and local walks. We had a special offer which made it a very reasonably priced break. At ordinary prices, without the special offer, we would have found the prices steep. It was tricky to find the first time without a satnav, the os map was not enough to go by and aa directions to difficult follow without names on roundabout or numbers on all roads. Advise arriving in daylight. Kitchens were compact as one would expect, but a couple more pans or baking dishes would make catering considerably easier.
