Lack of local ales in the bar. Poor quality of the food. Lack of sign posts from the main coastal road making the hotel difficult to find.

The peaceful lovely setting and the choice of hotel meals or self catering. The cottage we stayed in was lovely and catered for our every need. The staff were very helpful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and made us feel very welcome the rooms were also very clean and the food was excellent would definatley recommend this hotel

Ideal location for touring around Pembrokeshire

the restaurant was only Italian, no other choice. If booking for the restaurant please be vigilant to book 24hours in advance , as the hotel is quite a distance from anywhere else to eat.As on our second night we were told that it was fully booked , to which we expressed our dismay , we were informed that we could have a table after 8pm, after people had finished their meal, which we agreed to.Shortly before 7.30pm we were told they had a 'cancelation', whilst eating we saw that there were at least two more table that had not been used all evening.

We had a lovely stay at the hotel,very comfy,home from home cottage,Lovely area,only one negative if you like television bad only bbc2,itv and chanel 4 lucky we liked reading other than that ,very nice

We booked at this hotel because it was near the Christian retreat we wanted to visit Fflad-y-Brenin. We found the staff very friendly and helpful (particularly Grace), gave us advice on where to walk, how to get to places and info on the area. We loved our cottage and would recommend them as they are clean, quiet, and well looked after. We loved the area it was in, and loved walking up the hill to see the view. We felt the decor was very good and comfortable. Thank you to the staff for making us feel so welcome especially as we found out that the hotel is up for sale.

We decided to have a meal in the restaurant for our first night and were very disappointed. I was looking forward to seeing a menu which used all the local produce but it was italian. I found the food uninspiring, lacking imagination and not that tasty. We would not recommend this to anyone.

Peace and tranquility of the setting. Friendliness of staff and lovely cottage. Pretty grounds with natural springs and a lovely atmosphere. 10 minutes away from sea and harbours and coastal path. Plenty of walks around the hotel.

Lovely setting, if a little hard to find. Reception, bar and dining room very nice.

The room needs updating, old style tv with 2 channels !! Shower over bath didn't even use this, it didn't look nice. The toilet seat needed replacing wooden varnished was cracked.

The friendly helpful staff, the comfortable room, the meals, the location.

It was difficult to find especially at night. A good detailed map of how to get there would be useful.

Stylish accommodation with excellent self catering facilities.

I thought the staff did their best to be attentive and make our stay a pleasant one. The location was lovely. It was out in the country so transport was needed to get to the nearest town but as we had our car that was fine. The bar and restaurant were very nice, as we were in the self catering cottage and only stayed two nights we didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked very inviting with nice modern decor, clean and a good menu. They do takeaway pizza's as well which were pretty good. I liked the fact that they had a nice restaurant and bar so in the evening when you arrive back from a day out, there is somewhere to enjoy the evening. The accommodation suited our needs for the two nights. I would say it was a good price for a one bed cottage.

There was a slight smell of damp in the cottage but it didn't affect our stay. We felt relaxed and enjoyed staying in the cottage.

Liked the layout of the place and the self contained nature of the cottage plus the restaurant was good value. Friendly reception staff.

Poor sound proofing to next cottage through (stud partition?) meant that noise carried. The TV only had London BBC1, Northern Ireland BBC2 and Central ITV?????. Need to update with digital TVs.

Lovely peaceful location, beautiful buildings. Within easy reach of Newport and Fishguard and the coast.

Stayed in an older cottage which didn't match the photos shown on this website (decor was very outdated and a bit shabby). Self catering cottage had limited cooking equipment (and what was there needed a good clean and some items were put back in the drawer broken. The tv had all of 3 channels. Blinds in the living room and the bedroom wouldn't stay open and as we didn't want to sit in the dark all the time ended up sat in the kitchen.

Everything! The staff were very helpful, courteous and very friendly. We stayed in one of the hotel rooms on the first night and it was very comfortable. The next two nights due to personal problems we stayed in one of the cottages and found it absolutely stunning. The space and comfort were excellent. The food was excellent throughout our stay and the service was always pleasantly offered.

Great facilities in one bedroom cottage/apartment. Plenty of room. Lovely setting in courtyard. Lovely setting in countryside. We had evening dinner on one evening - food was excellent.

Nothing to say except that television channels need updating to freeview. Only able to get 3 channels currently.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short break here and wishes it could have been for longer. We stayed in Carreg Las Cottage. Very comfortable and a beautiful setting. Excellent food in restaurant too.

Only one thing we didn't like and that was the mattress on the bed, it was very hard. As I'm nearly 8 months pregnant, hotel staff very accommodating and gave me an extra duvet and pillows which helped a lot. Thanks!

The setting was really beautiful and the accommodation boasted everything we needed in a self catering cottage.

There was nothing that we didn't like.

The fourth time we have stayed at gellifawr.we have stayed in four different cottages and have loved every moment we have spent there i cannot fault the staff and the cottages we will most definatley return.
