The parking was not good steep narrow road I think once inside the property there was 44 steps or stairs some very steep and narrow, wouldn’t recommend to guests with any type of mobility issues. Lounge furniture needs replacing very old and uncomfortable lounge smelt musty. One of the bedrooms very damp with mushroom type mould Growing on wall and carpet. Bathrooms very nice modern plenty of them. Everything you needed supplied in the kitchen. Beds very comfortable lovely bedding. Garden unkempt and garden furniture rusty.

A well maintained property, with delightful hosts.
A well maintained property, with delightful hosts. Breakfasts very good.
Lovely gardens and views of the countryside/hills. Room facilities good, comfy & cosy. I plan to stay here again when next visiting the area. I have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
Good base for lots of things. great walking area. I used it as a base for a golfing break as it's in the centre of a triangle of some great links golf courses incl St David's [Harlech], Aberdovey, and Porthmadog, And the spectacular Welshpool GC with amazing views over 5 counties! The wonderful village of Portmeirion [famous for it's use in the 60's TV series 'The Prisoner'] is not too far away either

Great walking - either flat to Barmouth, or up the mountain.
Great walking - either flat to Barmouth, or up the mountain. A great selection of pubs, all serving good beer, and a decent curry house (the Lemon Grass - but cash only and BYOB). Has everything you need for a few days away.

Beautiful thriving little market town with lots of unique shops, as well as a few staples, and a big Spar. The restuarant that we went to (Y Sospan) was amazing. You don't need a car to get around town, and if you bring your bikes or walking gear, the estuary and mountains are yours for the views and swimming.

A lovely little town with many attractive shops and restaurants.
We visited the tapas bar more than once.
The food was delicious.
It is an ideal location for exploring the Snowdonia area and for going south to Mid-Wales.

This is a lovely town with friendly people.
This is a lovely town with friendly people. We were there in early August, and it was not flooded with tourists. We visited because our ancestors immigrated to the USA from Dolgellau in the 1840s, and we wanted to see it. A highlight of the town is a series of walking paths leading from the town to the seacoast and other areas. It seems that most people come to Dolgellau for the hiking. We loved staying at the Y Meirionnydd Townhouse hotel in the center of town. Our favorite restaurant was Y Sosban, a few steps from the hotel. We had breakfast there and also a delicious dinner in their historic upstairs dining room. We also enjoyed Zettle T H Coffee House just across the street. A live band played lively music in an outdoor courtyard in the evening, and people danced and enjoyed each other's company. The music ended in time for us to get a peaceful sleep in this pretty town.
A lovely cozy traditional cottage in the heart of the town, convenient for all local amenities and discovering the area. Overall the cottage was exceptionally clean and tidy, tastefully decorated and well equipped, with some nice views from a couple of windows. Prior to our stay the owner was helpful and communicative and further provided some very nice "welcome gifts" for when we arrived. Parking was always possible, either in the spaces opposite or a short distance up the road. Overall a fantastic stay.
This B&B was very deceptive. Outside facade did not indicate what the rooms were like.
We stayed in the Gwendd room which was tastefully refurbished. Bathroom was also fabulous.
Little extras in the room were very much appreciated - nespresso machine, nibbles, cakes, chips,
shortbreads and still and sparkling water in the mini fridge - all complimentary.
Dolgellau was an intersting market town with much history and many hotels where we felt very welcome in.
B & B was a 5 min walk into the centre.
Ty Cwtch is a beautiful cottage, stunningly refurbished to an exceptionally high standard but retaining it's natural charm and cosiness. It is warm and comfortable with everything catered for. Nestled in the charming village of Dolgellau, Ty Cwtch is ideally situated for exploring Snowdonia and surrounding areas. Jane made our stay so very special and welcoming and always in contact to ensure we had everything we needed. Thank you Jane !
The location in the little village was perfect for food or drinks at night, the breakfast room of the hotel was made available to you to enjoy your evening take away too! ( but not in the room) Good showers , relaxing atmosphere.
Lovely breakfast too! Well informative with the history and very up to date with the local area with the 'what's going on' and laundry service if you should request, perfect!
Well done Nick 👍
Very tastefully decorated and very well equipped, including some delightful welcome cakes. More of a home then a holiday let. Stunning views, although the weather did not allow us to dine alfresco. Comfortable beds and plenty of linens and towels. Excellent location for exploring North Wales. Great WIFI.
Fantastic stay, the surrounding landscapes were beautiful with the Torrent Walk nearby and Dolgellau further down, logs provided for £5 too and showers/toilets nearby.
The receptionist was really pleasant and accommodating and the room was very well organised. Will definitely be staying here again 👍
Amazing view on Cader Idris through the window.
Great location, 10 minutes walk to Dolgellau.
Clean and comfortable room. All clean and fresh, homely feel, peaceful area.
Kettle and mugs in the room in case you'd like some coffee or tea.
Good wifi in the room.
The location is right in the middle of Dolgellau, close to restaurants and pubs. The owners of the hotel were fantastic and couldn’t have been more hospitable. The rooms were comfortable and clean and the breakfasts were amazing. They set us up for the day.
The wine and food in the bar was amazing as always & we had the veggie full Welsh breakfast the next day which was lovely. The hotel is in the centre of Dolgellau and is perfect for going on bike rides to Barmouth or walking to the Precipice Walk etc.
Perfect location right in the middle of town. Dolgellau is beautiful any direction you’re looking! We slept perfectly and the breakfast was excellent. Our hosts were so wonderful to chat with and the level of hospitality was top notch!
The location is fantastic the gardens lovely. The hotel is very dog friendly and provides really good accommodation for dogs. The rooms are comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. Staff are excellent, relaxed and friendly.
An excellent breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely hosts, very friendly with plenty of tips for local area. Very comfortable room with nice extras such as mini fridge with fresh milk for hot drinks and welsh cakes.
Beautifully furnished guest house with stunning views overlooking Dolgellau! Chris was very hospitable and cooked us a hearty breakfast the next morning. Will definitely return if we’re ever in the area again!
Clean, comfortable room; comfortable beds; quiet location but close to city; refrigerator available: petrol station with minimart nearby; ample parking onsite; helpful staff
