no bottled water in room.pkt sauces in breakfast room.hotel needs updating.
*The surprise of having a four poster bed without having requested it!! *Coffee and tea in room * Free wifi * Simple but extremely well cooked food menu/breakfast delicious. * Owner/Manager - very helpful, friendly and courteous. * Toiletries in room
Mattress could have been a little more comfortable but thats probably personal preference.
friendly staff. comfortable cosy room. peaceful environment . excellent food and service. perfect after a long tiring journey from the Midlands. Thank you !

Excellent location in the market square of a thriving Yorkshire town. Friendly staff and good value food and facilities.
Position in town. Very nice supper. Good breakfast with good service.

My husband and I were visiting my Mother who lives in Easingwold.we found the hotel staff very pleasant and welcoming and will definitely stay again The breakfast was of a very high quality with plenty of choice. I particularly recommend the porridge.
Loved the town set back from a main road and so quite. Everything in a short walking distance from Hotel, shops, tea rooms, bars and take ways.
The only thing that I felt a let down was the bathroom, it could have done with a lick of paint to freshen it up.
Excellent, polite and efficient staff, lovely roast dinner, food in general and well kept beer! Great bus route into York for a day out.
Room near the kitchen plus the exit to the car park. Social area also near the room.
old world charm, coupled with clean and friendly accommodation, situated in the centre of the village square.
Central location and good parking. Proper tea and a good breakfast.
En-suite bathroom damp with poor ventilation, and room very uninspiring and sparse.
Nice little hotel the Town is very quite nice places to have meal and drink with easy access to york would stay again
Excellent food Helpful,friendly staff
Room was comfotable, but would benefit from a refurb
Good location for day trips to east coast, York, Harrogate, Yorkshire Dales etc. Hotel is comfortable has loads of character, free parking, staff are polite and helpful.
More variety regarding evening meals
Very good choice on menu
Too low wattage of electric bulbs in bedroom ,,,not easy to read. a mag or newspaper
Easy to take luggage to room as room on ground floor at back with its own front door, could park immediately outside. Great for people like myself with mobility problems.
Shower over bath not so easy to get in with mobility issues.
The people were very friendly
the beer in all the local pubs was poor and expensive.
The management & chefs went out of their way to ensure a dairy free diet was adhered to, checking ingredients & changing them when necessary. I was overwhelmed with their care.
Communal wall, as in some other hotels, was a bit thin. It meant on one evening we could hear conversation of neighbours. Their bed head backed onto communal wall. It didn't detract from our stay too much because everything else was so good!
The location, friendliness of staff, in particular the landlady was excellent in her role, decent quality of food,
Lack of,view from our particular bedroom, also we found the bar food whilst good, was quite expensive in relation to similar Inns/pubs
Lighting in bedroom not very good for reading
