Atmosphere in the bar area Food menu choices and quality of food Friendly staff
We were staying over for a family birthday party, the food was great a traditional pub menu fantastic service. The room was quiet and comfortable. Room 1.
Great location, staff very friendly and helpful, food was excellent, all in all a great break...
The only downside was the bathroom could do with a bit of an upgrade, but still perfectly functional..
Everything including handy parking
we loved the log fire welcome in the pub. the room we had was beautiful and the bed comfy
excellent breakfast lovely hotel
Bed Room Bar Open fire Food
Bathroom on room 4 Noisy extract fan
Very friendly and helpful staff. Cosy room. Great atmosphere just a lovely place to stay. Good value too.
Lovely pub/hotel in a great position. Food was very nice and good portions. Beer was well kept with ample choice.
The only thing I didn't like was that the room could do with decorating. The ceiling hadn't been painted for years and had quite a lot of cobwebs hanging down
The traditional enviroment. Oak beams, roaring fire in a old fashioned range. More than likely original. Good position for walking etc. Tradional pub grub and real ales. Staff very friendly and accomodating.
Bed a little lumpy.
ALL OF IT, ALSO VERY CENTRAL TO AREAS ETC..
Friendliness, courtesy in reception. Good recommendation for dinner (Roundhouse). Useful back door to carpark. Good breakfast.
Room was over the bar and noise went on quite late (football team). Coffee not brilliant.
Quaintness of the building and the room
light outside our bedroom window was on all night, which made the room bright.
The hotel is in a great location if you enjoy walking. The meals were varied and it was nice that guests had a private entrance.
If you're tall avoid room 4, not much in the way of headroom in the bath. Breakfast was a bit disappointing until our last morning when the cook changed and we got a fabulous breakfast. Road can be a bit noisy.
friendly owners and staff.Good quality food that was well cooked.a very good ambience in the bar area.
Nothing to dislike.
Bed creaky and very uncomfortable Bathroom sink dirty Big build up of gunge around taps Mildew on windows Skirting boards thick with dust Waitress who served breakfast was also cleaning bar floors in between serving our food! Not very hygienic
Breakfast, location, staff dinner and room
too short of a stay
Pub atmosphere was good.
Room was very small for a double bed.
The room was clean and comfortable.
I did like the room but there are no facilities for a female to do her makeup or hair. There needs to be a mirror near a plug and lighting facilities near this.
Staff were very attentive and courteous.
Windows did not open in room 5
Friendliness of the staff, comfort and cleanliness. Our evening meal was fab and enjoyed very much with their Friday's night wine deal.
Nothing to dislike! All was great!
location was good,food really nice.
The comfiest beds in the world.Love the George Hotel, love Hayfield.
Next to noisy busy road Church bells every half hour all through night Not clean Poor food and staff not very bright
Good location, adequate facilities, good breakfast, great value for money.
Our room was one of the last available so it was a bit smaller than we would have liked but large enough for us two since we were out with friends most of the time.
