It is right in the centre of Glastonbury! A very old historic building with nice comfortable rooms, with a lovely en suite bathroom! We would most definitely stay there again :)

Everything. Great staff. Food was excellent especially the pies. Rooms comfy and quirky. Lovely place to stay right in centre of Glastonbury If you sleep at front of building can be a bit noisy at night from bar and sometimes from street outside But not a real problem.

We made a special request for a dragon to be drawn for us and to be put on the bed for our arrival. The request was met and the staff had a brilliant sense of humour about it.

The age & history of the building. The lack of free parking, virtually all hotel/budget hotels provide free parking. The practice of allowing guests to believe they have paid at the time of booking only to be told the cost is still outstanding on arrival High prices for average food.

What an experience! We stayed from the bank holiday monday for 2 nights. The hotel is full of charm, and all of the staff were super friendly and couldn't do enough to help. The room was exceptionally clean. We stayed in the King Henry VIII room in the old part of the hotel. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was full of character. I was hoping to have a ghostly encounter but everything was quiet! Breakfast was lovely and the service was top class. It is a quiet little town as far as the night life goes and the shops open and close when they feel like it. Everyone is very relaxed and laid back. We have had a lovely time and would definitely stay again. There was a few car parking spaces allocated to the hotel which were free if you could get a space, but the pay and display car park at the rear was free to park in between 6pm and 9am. Please be aware that the traffic warden is out at around 8.45am to see what cars are there. All in all we have had a fantastic time and the hotel comes highly recommended. If you are looking for something that has lots of history and charm then this is the place for you.

Friendly, helpful staff, especially the girl who whizzed our cases up the spiral staircase, the barman and the lovely cheerful maqn who served us a really good breakfast. Historic nature of room (Monk's Cell) Tea and coffee in room. Really HATED the noise of the Karioki on Sunday night. Heard every excruciating, over amplified noise in our room till 11:15pm! You should mention this event on your website. We were very tired after travelling and it spoilt the stay. Such a pity as we will not return due to this.

The historical interest of the hotel itself is amazing with its very own resident ghosts to spice up the visit !.Very atmospheric. The landlord and lady, indeed all the staff very friendle helpfull and informative. The quisine was yummy with lots of choice.Location spot on with lots of interesting shops and easy access to visitor attractions. A yoghurt on offer at breakfast would have been nice and the windows in bedrooms cleaner but thats all.

location, child friendly bar, full english breakfast was great. Food in bar area was good too. In fact it appears to be the only pub/accomodation around the area that allows little uns (3yr old) in the bar area to be with parents/grandparents which was a life saver. Owners very pleasant and bubbly. Warning breakfast finishes early on a Monday morning at 9am. Room 7's double bed mattress was awful. Needs replacing. Also Room 7 was on high street side and as a result on the Friday night the pub nearby had a DJ night and was noisy till 2 am inside and outside on street. I would stay again though knowing that.

Beautiful historic hotel, we got one of the very old feature rooms which was amazing. Staff very friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Food at the hotel was excellent,we were there with our grown up children and their partners and we ended up eating every meal there, bar also exclellent. Situation was perfect for everything going on in town. Also amazingly quiet for town centre at night.

This is an amazing old building, to think it has been an Inn since it was built back in 1430 ish gives a tremendous sense of place. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, it felt like we walked into a warm embrace when we arrived. Cath made us feel very welcome, and Andrew in the restaurant really excelled at breakfast time, in fact all the staff we met were wonderful and so friendly. The food is very good too, I can highly recommend the home made pies! It's fair to say that some of the decor is looking a little worn here and there, but in a comfortable way, that didn't detract fom our experience, the room was warm and the bed comfortable with an excellent shower in the well appointed en- suite. Over all, our stay at The G&P greatly enhanced our stay at Glastonbury. Thanks Only one gripe, directly outside our bedroom window (room 15) there is some sort of air con or refrigerator unit which kept on running intermittently and noisily throughout the night, which lead to some loss of sleep.

Loved the ambience and friendly nature of the staff, the food was basic but very nice and the location was excellent Car parking but I think that's an issue for all venues in Glastonbury, you have to pay for it, regardless of staying in the town

High Street location Tudor era building and furnishings Modern en-suite bathroom Friendly staff 'Out-of-hours' noise from the street. 3am license for a nearby pub - very noisy which allowed for little sleep. Breakfast hours quite restrictive for a weekend.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly, the atmosphere informal and the service excellent. The hotel itself is very interesting with its mixture of 15th century architecture blended with 21st century amenities. The all in one pie was very tasty and the ambiance in the bar was great. Very little to dislike - being ultra critical - the bedroom could have coped with a bigger double bed - nut the bed we had was comfortable, despite being a little cosy :-)

Food ok at a reasonable price, well kept ale. Not a great choice of ales, room ok but paper thin walls, could clearly here conversations from the bar below and room above.
