We would have preferred a bed that didn't collapse when we sat on it and that the staff had shown some interest in whether we had suffered any injury. |

The facilities were good and the rooms very comfortable. Will certainly stay at the hotel again when in Edinburgh. Two points: The first is a pet hate, most hotels in the uk seem to be staffed by East Europeans whose command of the English language is poor. Secondly, the restaurant in the evening did not come up to expectations and was relativel expensive and indeed for the remainder of the stay we dined-out at restaurants where for a similar price obtained a wider menu choice and better value for money. |

Excellent staff. Good location. We left our comments regarding the room with a questionaire in the room. Bathroom designed on the drawing board but not from esperience of using the bathroom. Bath slippery and no rubber mat or similar when using the shower,. No ledge or shelf for putting toilet bag etc on to so they had to be put on the floor. No hooks in the bathroom to hand clothes on, so they had to go on floor as well. |

Location Yes - our room was facing the busy street and over the bar....it was so noisy until 3:30 am and we couldn't sleep. We were also too warm while sleeping and if we opened the window....it was too noisy. Very nice hotel but did not sleep because of the location of our room |

Being reacquainted with the lovely city of edinburgh. Breakfast was good and staff friendly One night in a room overlooking scaffolding and a noisy machine, but we changed for second night.a ll fine then. I thought it inappropriate to be asked to choose and pay for our choice of breakfast before we saw what was on offer!!! |

Room was recently renovated and very attractive. Location of hotel was excellent for city centre activities and sights. No parking available, and the car park was some distance from the hotel |
