L'accueil a notre arrivee (pas tres souriante et parle trop vite a des francais ...) mais apres le personnel a ete charmant

les chambres 'supérieures' de cet hotel ne méritent pas cette appellation; accessoires de toilettes sommaires et le service thé-café très médiocre

Chambres spacieuses et situation en plein centre sont un atout!

La salle de bain est assez exigüe.

Hotel qui ne mérite absolument pas 4 *. Meubles abimés, baignoire bouchée avec des cheveux qui remontent, chewing gum sur un fauteuil, alarme incendie qui s'est déclenchée sans raison à 9h du matin un samedi...

Situation géographique, pas de bruit la nuit (sauf le vent - mais c'était une nuit de tempête), propreté.

C'est une simple remarque, comme dans la plupart des hôtels anglais, il n'y a pas de minibar. Et pour The George Hotel en particulier, absence de chauffage de la salle de bain : donc soit douche ou bain très chaud, soit laisser la porte ouverte pour bénéficier du chauffage de la chambre.

I thought the location was fantastic and the room very comfortable indeed. Probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in!

Our bathroom fan was not working and the breakfast was cold. Service at breakfast was not very good either but the other hotel staff were excellent.

The location was impressive and very convenient for the city centre. However the lack of any parking places meant a long shlep with our bags from the nearest public car park.

The rooms are becoming quite tired. No air-conditioning and therefore the window needs to be open which lets in all the traffic noise and the bin-men noise at early in the morning. Also the biggest complaint was the lack of breakfast space in the restaurant. Having to queue up for breakfast in a 4 star hotel is totally unacceptable. I complained to the duty manager and was fobbed off with the excuse that it was "because everybody seems to come down at the same time!"

The location of the hotel was excellent. I liked the decor and the bar/restaurant.

the bed was comfortable, most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the view from the room was ok

the toilet did not flush properly, room service took ages and some items were wrong or incomplete, at breakfast the staff were clearly rushed off their feet, we were seated at a table that was already occupied. staff had cleared the tea and toast while the couple were collecting their breakfast! they returned to the table to find us sitting there! service was non existent. I had to get up and approach staff to get coffee. I did notice that the staff serving the other side of the room were very attentive however. not keen on having to queue for breakfast! have been in hotels allover Europe, including Eastern Europe, and this has never happened. and don't get me started on the flute player at 4 in the morning!
