The George Hotel

一番良かったのは男性のアジア系のメイドさん（お部屋を清掃してくれる人）。朝会うと、必ず笑顔+元気に挨拶をくれて、きびきび働いてらっしゃいました。見かけるだけで元気をくれるようなかんじ。こんなに素敵なスタッフがいるのに、他の部署のスタッフが台無しにしています。

会計の時、ホテル側から明細書の提示無しに料金を言われ「何で支払うか？」と聞かれたのでクレジットカードを渡すと、このサイトで提示された料金よりも10ポンド多くとられていた。すぐに予約確認書を出して抗議し、精算し直したが、結局10分位かかり貴重な時間をとられた。たぶん、クレジットカードを通さないと（もしくはPC上で支払方法をインプットしないと）明細書が出ないシステムになっているんじゃないかと思うけど、すごく不親切。特に私は部屋から国際電話をかけていたので、言われた料金は電話料金を含んだ分だけ高いと思ったらホテルが間違えていた。　　またすごく急いでたので７時ちょうどに朝食会場に行ったが、まだ用意されていなかった。客が既に並んでいるのにしゃべりながら用意するスタッフ・・・。全部の用意が出来ていないならそれでいいから、時間になったらある物から食べさせるなど、臨機応変に対応してほしい。

観光に便利な立地。趣のある建物で、シーズンオフのせいもあろうが価格も良心的。

スタッフが持ち場におらず、他のスタッフに頼んでも「すぐに担当者が来るから」と言うだけで、探すことすらしない。鼻にかかった慇懃無礼な話し方も、英国らしいというところか。

ホテルの料金は、8月のフェスティバル期間中でしたので、高いことは認識しております。通常はこの料金ではないですよね。

The hotel is excellently situated and within easy walking distance to the station, the main shopping streets and attractions. Even the Old Town is within easy reach. I also liked the rooms, they were tidy and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The quiet but central location was much appreciated, we didn't hear the traffic at all at night.

We missed a mini-bar for cold drinks, it is essential when the weather is hot. The staff could be more friendly... The errors in the invoice were irritating and also the fact that it took two phone-callls to get it straightened.

Convenient to the many sites in Edinburgh and a nice hotel for the price.

The size and standard of the room. The professionalism and helpfulness of staff. The fantasic view from the window and the lovely large and very comfortable bed

Was a bit disappointed in the bathroom, it was perfectly clean and adequate but for the size and standard of room I had expected the bathroom to also be something special

The fact it was so close to the main part of town. The comfort and ease of checking into the hotel, and the selection of food that was available for breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Nothing really, except that the breakfast menu offered hash browns , but we ended up with potato cakes, not a big problem, but it would have been nice to have had the choice.

Breakfasts aren't great - very tasteless.

The staff were efficient and helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable.

The breakfast was buffet style and therefore the cooked items were not particularly fresh. The breakfast was also over-priced.

The hotel looked beautifull and the bed was really nice!
