The food was excellent. It was well located for the Peak District, walking and culture. The town/village had other good places to eat. We also used the council outdoor pool, which wasn't mentioned anywhere in the blurb. Sofas in lounge were uncomfortable |

Helpful and courtious staff. Comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Although we did not take our evening meals at the George the restuarant was praised for it's excellent food. Breakfast was plentiful and well served. If anything the room was a little too warm (June) even though we had no localised heating switched on. A fan was provided but proper air-conditioning would have made our stay perfect. |

We had a very pleasant stay at the Geeoge Hotel and the staff were very pleasant, I would consider staying again at a later date. I felt the quality and service of breakfasts especialy the self serve selection could be improved. |

The Food was the best we had ever had, and we have stayed at Hotels worldwide. Breakfast was a delight. Staff were so helpful and friendly Rooms were amazingly clean and the bed was so comfortable. This Hotel is a "Little Gem" and we cannot wait to got back. It really dosnt get much better than this. It is a Privately owned Hotel and they certainly know how to get things right. |

The room was very cosy and clean. Very friendly atmosphere. Really enjoyed our stay. We didn't acutally use the restaurant , but the breakfast was very good. |

Breakfast was great and service excellent. Room was dark, with only a small window overloking the car park. However it was a discounted room rate and the public rooms were fantastic. |

staff were very pleasant and attentive. Breakfast superb. Bar Lounge area spacious and decor well kept. only very small thing, a shower cap was not provided and would have been useful. |

A comfortable contemporary styled hotel, which is a refreshing change in this area. We stayed amid snow and ice and the hotel was warm and welcoming. Good modern cooking in the restaurant if a little overpriced, but as we had booked a 2 nights for 1 offer this more than balanced it out. |

Excellent room with lots of space and peaceful at night. The lounge and restaurant are also very good.The hotel is in the heart of the village. The fire alarm going off in the middle of the night. |
