Although the staff were very friendly, the accommodation was in a damp outbuilding. Damp and mould was visible in the shower and the furnishings were shabby.

Bar/pub areas were good, pleasant and friendly Accommodation was fairly basic and could have done with a complete refit. Shower/toilet was in very poor decor with mould on the tiles and joints. Decor in room in desperate need of a complete update and redecoration. There was no central heatin apart from a 1 bar electric heater. Shower water temperature was warm and not pleasant. Although bar and restaurant was O.K. the particular food I had chosen was overcooked/fried. More attention should be spent on accommodation than the running of bar/pub. Would stay again if I were in the area but would appreciate accommodation to be updated.

Food was excellent and the service from the owners/staff was second to none and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable Room was small but comfortable and clean. The decoration was tired, but this was only a minor issue as the overall experience outweighed tired decor!

Going out away from the place The room was tiny and smelt damp. The bed needs total replacing, the bathroom door handle was missing, The kettle had to be placed on the floor to be boiled ( really safe). I arrived 11pm and was lead around outside to the room by a gentleman whom walk as his place, we where carrying gift from our wedding, me wife was in her wedding dress and my mother in law has M.S but he never asked if we where ok, Maybe due to the fact we had interupted his drinking with the locals. No lights where on outside when we where taken to the room although they where on when my mum in law came back a few minutes later. The next evening we tired to raise our problems but there was no one available, so we left and I am still waiting for a reply to the email I sent. Go to the travel lodge in Sleaford, unless your face fits.It was booked in April and they where made a where it was a honeymoon.

The friendliness of the customers. The high quality of sheets and bathtowels. Two rooms were booked and while one room was worth the £49.50 paid for it, the second was not. Dark, poky, off a step by the fire door. Shower, toilet, washbasin in a cupboard. Quilts were antedeluvian slabs in winciette covers that would pin you down should you get underneath them..

The food we had in the pub was excellent especially the steaks which were tasty and cooked to perfection. The breakfast in the morning was also excellent and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The accomodation is very out-dated and the rooms could do with a make-over to modernise them. There were alot of cobwebs in our room too and the colour scheme a little "garish". The bed, however, had nice clean sheets and there was a TV and Tea/Coffee making facilities so for one night it wasn't a bad night's stay.

The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. even though the room was clean,.whoever fitted the bath needs lessons on how to apply the sealant around the bath!bathrooom door didnt close well enough, remote control didn't work very well! behind the toilet was a towel fitted around the piping, there must be a leak there!!the shower worked but there was no hot water,i wouldn't of had a bath as the sealant wasnt very attractive!!!

The excellent bar and traditional restaurant. Appears to be professionally run, but also very friendly. The room a little dated but still good value for money. I was quoted £48 by booking.com and the hotel charged £49.50 (not a great deal more) but the principle is wrong here!
