the bed was very squeaky dipped in the middle ,the bath was not cleaned very well had hairs in it children running up and down the stairs early in the morning
Character, food, cosy
Noisy and diy a bit shoddy!
Room was lovely and as expected from the photos Food was good quality and reasonably priced We had a minor issue with our room, which was fixed immediately, with wonderful customer service. Great staff doing an excellent job
The location is good for our needs
Decoration very tired Breakfast there was no fruit or yogurt available on buffet as menu stated, otherwise food very good
Very friendly and helpful staff Food was good and the hotel has a lot of character
Towel rail in bathroom - room 6 was on constantly and although we did ask if someone could turn it off (on the hottest night of the year) this unfortunately did not happen so the room was very warm
We stayed in the courtyard, good quality bed linen and towels, roomy rooms. Good breakfast. Courteous staff.
Needs a bit of renovation. Noise from above us at night.
the male manager was friendly
you couldn't get a taxi anywhere, the owners son was on the computer at reception most of the time. The room was overpriced for what you had and the menu was limited especially for vegetarians.
Only a couple of minutes by cab from the train station. Perfectly located in the lovely town centre. Friendly staff.
Friendly and attentive staff nothing too much trouble. Food is excellent and it's a lovely old building. Some of the rooms could do with a change in furniture but the warm welcome and friendliness more than make up for that!
The staff was very helpful and the food was excellent.
Decent sized room, with sofa and arm chair.
Dirty washbasin. Previous occupants belongings under dressing table. Noise in courtyard, outside our room until 03.55 am from other guests talking & laughing. Noise from kitchen extractor fan, right outside bedroom window, which was open due to stifling hot day.
The service, food, staff and ambiance
It was a hot sunny weekend and the bedrooms where uncomfortable hot. It would have been nice to be offered fans when arrived not told we could have one when we left.
Loved the age and history of the building The owner made us very welcome on arrival, we had one of the courtyard bedrooms which was well fitted out The food was excellent
The bed it felt like a water bed every time I or my wife moved the whole bed seemed like it went up and down. please change this before we visit again
The rooms are very very hot with almost zero ventilation. Food tries to be haute cuisine but misses the mark.
Nice place to stay very relaxed.
Very caring and helpful staff Good breakfast
Great friendly hotel.Nice food very relaxed.
Room was fine and dinner was very good
Breakfast staff grumpy, fruit and yoghurt on menu but not on show, no soya milk
Fantastic! Everything was great, from rooms to staff to location.
Excellent staff, comfy room, great location, lovely food,
Limited parking, but at least there is some. Need to invest in a new toaster! These are very minor things; we would happily stay there again.
Excellent breakfast and friendly staff, central location in small town.
Shower head poorly fitting meant three hands needed! Noisy air con or fan outside, noisy neighbouring shower very early so sound-proofing poor.
Lovely old pub/hotel in an historic town, beautiful country walks nearly. Friendly staff and very decent locals.
I hate saying this, but the shower was extremely noisy and fairly ineffective. Worse, the loo had not been cleaned in a while.
Good small town Inn in the centre.
The parking at the rear is limited and tricky at busy times
I loved the homely feel of the place with the quaint nooks and crannies.
The only thing I would comment on and that would be the bed wansn't very comfortable.
Lovely atmosphere in such an old inn.
