Very friendly staff. Good ameneties
reception area was freezing
food, pool, sauna, staff
drink prices, bit of a scrum in the morning for breakfast
Location, size of rooms which were very clean, good friendly staff.
Group of noisy golfers staying there who made a lot of noise coming back to rooms late at night at different times
Room was comfortable and the location is quiet. We were there for a wedding and that was all very good. I suppose if you play golf, the golf course is right outside.
Very long corridors with endless fire doors which make it very tiresome to get around. Room was a bit dark. Bar and restaurant were quite expensive, and there are no other options within walking distance..
Rooms very nice and I enjoyed the swimming pool
I like everything
Good food and service
hard beds and poor spa facility
Excellent value and good food
Difference in levels throughout the hotel
ease of access from road network.
long corridors, unhelpful staff.
The meal was lovely, the room was great and the staff were helpful.
Did not like the walk from the hotel to the function room, if it had been raining we would have all been soaked, a indoor connection would be good or a covered walk way. We also found the price of the drinks were rather high.
The reception staff were very warm and helpful
The swimming pool was dirty Changing rooms unclean Rooms were too hot
The bar area was ok
The room was very dark with just views of a full bank if trees
When we arrived it turned out that our booking through booking.com had for some reason not come through from reservations to them. The new manager was really helpful and managed to accommodate us and also checked with us later that we were happy.
Lots of corridors and lost my way but this is a minor point.
Room and general outlay / grounds very good.
Having to adhere to the supper club menu. The fact that food items were missing- yorkshire pudding - being told sorry there's none left. If you want chips you cant have veg? Being told that my large glass of wine will have to be served in 2 small glasses as there wasn't any big ones! Being served a bottle of coke in a pint tumbler. No cups plates or tea at breakfast and having to wait 10 mins for replacements. Tea at breakfast being served in catering jugs - invest in proper tea machine. Having to wipe a table myself in lounge. The suits worn by some staff were restricctive an did not lend themselves to enabling them to do any hands on work - too concerned about getting stains on uniforms. Trying to sell a spa experience on a blackpool b&b budget.
good facilities excellent golf course food very good
they told us at reception breakfast was 10 pounds when we paid the bill it was 13.95 they refused to change we needed a voucher which we should have been giving on arrival will be writing to the manager for an explanation drinks also pricey its a shame about this issue because we are definetly coming back to this area for our golfing trip 8 players spending a lot of money.
Nice Gym People were helpful
Two dinners both poor Bed far too soft
The staff at reception and location.
The serving staff and the fact that different departments don't seem to be able to communicate.
clean comfy good staff & excellent spa
Reception staff not engaged to a welcome attitude
Hotel was clean and room very nice. Comfy bed and view over the golf course. Dinner was excellent can't comment on breakfast. Staff ok. Pleasant to sit outside of hotel. Reasonable prices.
Only complaint was the heat in the room. No air con. Had window open wide all night.
pool opening times at weekend similarly the late breakfast times
Room 15 had no out look and ventilation was poor
The room i stayed in, "Room 5", had no air condition or window that you could open, although it did have patio doors, but you wouldn't leave that open all night, so therefore the room became very hot. A fan was supplied on request.
Large room Decent gym
Breakfast £13.95 Burger also £13.95 which was nothing special
Quiet, easy to find, close to Newcastle
a lot of stairs, a bit of a labyrinth
The staff were friendly.
There was no air con and the room was boiling hot. The windows were patio doors leading to a small yard where everyone smoked. There was a locked adjoining door and twice I had to phone to get the management to tell the people next door to be quiet. The hotel is miles from anywhere. Although it in a residential area, there are no amenities nearby. The food and drinks were very expensive.
