Location on the main street of Haselmere was excellent. Rooms adequate with all the usual extras you would expect.Food good and reasonably priced evening meals Nice spa and pool.Staff friendly!
The mattresses were very old and dipping in the middle and very uncomfortable. Not a good nights's sleep had on either night we were there! Shame that this was the only real fault we had.
Found the hotel compared well with others in the area we have stayed at. Excellent facilities together with friendly staff.
There was nothing not to like.
Staff were all friendly and helpful Handy location in centre of Haslemere Pool and spa area handy for teenagers
Everything seemed a bit disorganised - the car park barrier key was left in our room Toaster too dangerous to use so had to ask for toast Room cleanliness was adequate, but needed a deep clean throughout
Reception man couldn't give directions because he didn't drive.
The Spa is nice, the rooms are OK and the location in the middle of Haslemere is good.
Restaurant didn't have place in the evening for dinner. Restaurant again didn't have place in the morning for breakfast. Once I got in there were no sausages, no eggs anymore. Contrary to what they claim, Internet is not free in the room, only in the main hall, which comes as a bit cheap considering every Youth Hostel has free Internet.
Some staff not friendly was not happy about not having a massage.....not happy with the spa...... staff was not helpful.. i will not be going there again ..
Poor food Tired bedrooms
Food bedroom tatty decor poor trained staff. A real disappointment
Great staff and close to Haslemere train station.
Rooms and spa a bit faded and dated. Considering the extra cost for it breakfast was disappointing.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and so was dinner.
Messages were not passed on. The entrance to the hotel was unswept and grubby - could do with tidying up. In the Spa/Pool the changing rooms were for both men and women which is not the case in other good hotels, such as Lythe Hill which is 100% better.
Great location for our visit. The hotel was absolutely charming. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and had the necessary tea/coffee facility in the room. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly... their kindness and assistance was especially appreciated as I had my disabled mother with me. The English Breakfast was was very good ... as was the Continental Breakfast (we tried both). Thank you all at the Georgian House Hotel & Spa. We will definitely stay here again! :)
Would have liked a small fridge in the room to keep my mother's medication cool. Also as my mother is disabled it would have been helpful to have the option of a bathroom with a "walk-in shower" only instead of a bath.
the room size, the staff, willing and courteous but maybe not as fully trained as they could be, the use of spa facilities was a real bonus. The bathroom shampoos and soap were extremely pleasant. The restaurant food was good but let down by a cheap and nasty house red, come on, you can by a decent red for 7£ and still double your money. Just a little more attention to minor details and this would be a grade 1 hotel.
the overall feeling was that it needed a little make over, a bit of fresh paint in the corridors, new washers on the taps, a toilet brush in the room is a must, and better toilet paper, cheap toilet paper is a real false economy, both for the hotel and the comfort of their guests. When one opened the window it was clear by the amount of leaves and mess lying in the recess it had not been vacuumed in ages and the external sills were filthy. The ashtrays on outside tables front and back were full of dog-ends, not cleaned, and there were empty bags and litter blowing around the pleasant garden.
Friendly staff acting professionally. Attractive atmosphere. Comfortable room. Good menu.
We had a fabulous time here, all staff were great, room was beautiful, clean and tidyhad the best nights sleep. Really great friendly and welcoming hotel. Breakfast was all you could ever want, we even stayed for roast dinner, which was wonderful. Will be going back very soon, can't wait
Friendly, helpful staff, good-sized room and good location. Decent trad English breakfast.
Decor a bit tired.
The price was reasonable for the area although, having travelled recently in Spain, we found the UK south-east prices very high. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was a bit chaotic on the second day: no toast offered, cold tea and coffee, no dinner plates, cutlery and side plates lacking, and so on. Hotel is comfortable but getting a bit tatty - e.g. carpets in corridors dirty.
Good food, very reasonably priced. Great breakfast. Courteous and polite staff throughout.
Loved the location
Free Wi-Fi in bar area however have to pay for it in the room; found staff quite flippant; only info in room was a questionnaire asking what I thought of the food, no other information about the hotel there; mattress on bed felt like it had been filled with small pebbles!
A quiet, comfortable room which is fine as a place to crash for a couple of nights but perhaps not a holiday destination. Good location. The bar is open late.
I told the hotel twice in advance that I would be arriving at 2pm and needed to check in to my room at that time as I had a meeting nearby at 3pm. The website also stated that check in was 2pm. I was therefore surprised when I arrived at the hotel at 2pm to be told that my room wasn't ready, and not only that but I had to wait half an hour. Not a major problem in the grand scheme but the cold and brusque attitude of the receptionist on duty was not impressive - she made it feel as if I was at fault! This is not really acceptable service when you're paying £100 per night. The toilet in my en suite bathroom did not function properly and no shower gel was provided (I used my own which I brought with me). I was surprised by the lack of security at the hotel. I'm sure Haslemere is a safe town but the main front door was unlocked at night - literally anyone could just wander into the hotel! There was a strange smell of gas seeping out from somewhere outside the front of the hotel - very noticeable if you sit outside on the terrace at the front. I noticed this the whole time I was there.
reception staff are so friendly and outside garden and swimming pool is great
room quality level
Hotel was excellent
Could do with a new mattress room 38
A good location, with easy off street parking. The room was clean but very basic.
I was disappointed when we were shown to our room and found that there was no soap in the bathroom. When I called reception I was told they had run out and I could use shampoo or shower gel. I complained and eventually got soap but no apology. At breakfast the hotel states there is an option of hot and cold food. The hot option consisted of mushrooms, cold beans and bacon. I was told that they had run out of everything else (this was at 9 and breakfast ran until 10.). Two rather disappointing events.
Loved the spa lovely breakfast comfortable large room catered for disabled people friendly staff we love this hotel it is our favourite stayed 7 times.Everything near to hand lovely high street will definitely stay again in the future.
The only thing I think is need softer pillows.
Good room size. Night porter friendly. Struggling to find other positive things to say!
No soap in dirty bathroom. Only two towels for 3 people. Made to feel a nuisance when asked for these at reception. Old debris on bedroom floor. Rusty shower pole. Stained toilet bowl. Not offered toast at breakfast. No natural yoghurt. Unfriendly waiting staff. Spa needs upgrade - water cold. Changing rooms shabby as was rest of the hotel. It had a very unloved, uncared for feel. No free WIFI in room. Reception staff had no idea where the nearest police station was - very unhelpful. Very disappointed with our special birthday stay. Definitely not to be recommended.
