Friendliness of staff whilst respecting privacy. We had large twin below ground, with a little patio area to sit out. Choice of breakfast. Near train station and easy short walk into town.
Queuing for breakfast on first morning (15 mins) due to lack of tables!
The room was very lovely, clean, and provided all the necessary facilities, such as kettle, coffee, tea, milk, hair dryer, towels. Wi-fi connection was brilliant. Staff was very polite, except some of the staff who was serving at breakfast.
The check-in hour could have been a bit earlier. It was difficult to be able to check-in in the middle of the day.
Friendly and very helpful staff. A great choice at breakfast (full English recommended). Great location. Ground floor room with patio was lovely to sit out with morning cup of coffee. A great 3 star hotel should be 4 star.
This hotel was a good location for us.It was clean ,comfortable and met our needs. The breakfast was very good .
Quiet area close to city centre & University.Breakfast was excellent & free WIFI best I have experienced.
Some areas a little tired but positives far outweighed this.
Thoughtful & friendly staff, clean room, free wifi, and tasty breakfast. The location is very close to city centre, which is definitely a plus.
Room ,facilities, location and breakfast all really good. Room well equipped but need new tv,s, they are old and no freeview.
Bed linen really rough on skin which affected sleep. TV,s poor. Room not ready till 3pm Parking difficult at weekends. Try parking in Bystock Terrace or Richmond Road before checking in as guest house give you residential parking permit.
Good breakfast kept us going for most of the day. Nice and hot.
above our room was the kitchen so from 7am we were woken up by loud footsteps.
Good location. Staff pleasent and helpful.
Beds and bedlinen need chucking. Carpets very tired.
Very little. My beloved England has changed beyond recognition. Personal service was non-existent.
I would have received a less frosty welcome had I been checking into an igloo. My 'plane's arrival meant I arrived late morning and I began by apologizing but asked whether I may leave my small case whilst I idled away the three hours before check-in. Ghastly lack of welcome, sympathy or, simply, good manners.
Near Exeter city centre (5 mins walk) 2 mins to Exeter Central station Good breakfast Staff very good
Our rooms were below the kitchen and near the hot water boiler so some noise.
staff, location, breakfast.
size of shower, too small. 5 flights of stairs to climb to room.
Location, everything within walking distance so car stayed parked throughout our stay.
Wi-fi in the room - intermittent at best, usually no connection. Very warm in the dining room but then again it is August. Perhaps fans would help?
good staff, good breakfast.
Pillows smelt as if they hadn't been washed for weeks, toilet roll holder loose, mould in shower, very small portable TV with poor reception and had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to our room.
I didn't like the steep stairs
Good proximity to central Exeter. Nice breakfast.
Very small rooms & en-suite. WIFI only reliable at ground floor/reception. Breakfast staff not too helpful.
The Georgian Lodge is a few minutes walk from the train stations and shopping areas. The staff were pleasant, the breakfast filling and varied. The place spotless. All in all I enjoyed my stay.
As my stay occurred during the period when temperatures were unusually high there was no air-conditioning. A fan should have been provided for the bedroom. I did not think to mention this, but the staff did not ask if everything was okay with my room. Before leaving I asked a couple of staff members if it was okay to leave my cases for a few hours until I was ready to catch my train, they replied it was perfectly fine. When I asked another staff member where I could leave my bags, it seemed to be a problem. But then said it was okay.
Great location beautiful old building
No reception to greet us at 9pm cramped room, uncomfortable bed, and pillows. Wi-Fi did not work in upper rooms.
The room was clean and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel is a short walk from the station and to the points of interest.
I couldn't open the lock box to get my door key. However, there was someone there within minutes.
Needs wifi, new tv, fridge, bed sheets looked old fashioned
breakfast was good
shower was broken when I pointed this out was told yes we have known for a few days downstairs room woken up by staff walking around above us getting breakfast ready carpet had seen better days big stain on it
Good location, close to city center; good breakfast; very quite room on the 1st floor
Male staff could have helped to carry baggage to the 1st floor as no lift is available
Great location, in a quiet Georgian square, yet minutes from shopping centre and university. Nice view from room. Good value generally.
Staff friendly, Location good
Room very small and bathroom tiny Dust layers on top of wardrobe,l which was only place to put case as room so small. Bit stuffy in room but weather was very hot, especially in dining room with front Windows kept shut
cracking breakfast though..!!
the stay was only for 1 night, and we got there early and we were put in the top floor room, which was fine, but we could not access wi-fi the whole time we were there and when we tried to find someone to correct this unfortunately no-one was around.
