Friendly guy who checked us in and a box of milk tray to welcome us. Good location, clean, warm and comfortable. Easy checkout, if not a bit early at 10.30am. Would have been good if breakfast was included but overall a good place to stay for a night in Bournemouth!
Small bathroom, no breakfast
How we were greeted in friendly welcoming manner and chocolate was a lovely touch. Also liked that we were left alone.
Bed bit uncomfortable and would of preferred a shower cubicle to a bath.
Good location. pleasant breakfast.
Felt grubby, out dated, 2 single beds pushed together as a make shift double, not even a double quilt supplied.
location to town center and free parking is great
just needs a little updating
Really good location, great price, really clean and staff were lovely. Me and a friend came up for a night out and it perfectly met our needs! Thank you!
The location was good.
The headboard was very small on the bed. The draws still had stuff in from other guests so hadn't been cleaned and the chest of draws were dirty with a missing handle. The ceiling had a big crack and the wallpaper had started to peel off.
Comfortable beds, quiet, warm, good breakfast, friendly hosts.
Dusty curtain swags; whole place needs repainting.
Hotel is walking distance to the pier & beach. Available parking. WiFi availability. The decoration in the lobby/reception hall had nice photos. Ideal for a central hotel if just want somewhere to sleep.
Shower was small and cramp and difficult to control the temperature.
Lovely building, friendly staff running the place, and you are left alone from the moment of check in ( we loved that) Huge rooms with high ceilings bright decor, very pleasant. Nice and quiet and it was full when we stayed. Excellent breakfast, good quality food, potions not to big! Location fantastic for the beaches and theatres and centre. Looks a bit tired outside but thats not important and a new sign would transform it. We will be staying again. Its a great base for Bournemouth
nothing it was a lovely place and we will go back.
The price was okay and the location for our purpose (visiting son at university halls) was good. I suppose you get what you pay for: however, I have stayed in much better accommodation for the price.
The pillows smelled really bad and should be replaced: they are far beyond being fit for human use. The incredibly inconsiderate person that was running their car at very high revs at 4 in the morning in the hotel car park. This went on for ten minutes and they went nowhere. The beds were either infested with bugs or the detergent used for cleaning extremely harsh: I itched all night. Broken rope on sash window meant window would not stay up. Toilet was not clean. Lino on floors in toilet and shower room were poorly fitted, damaged, and filthy. No courtesy soap for shower. Not enough towels. Cold toast at breakfast. No butter on tables. Breakfast was poor, portions small and choice was non-existent.
location , quietness , parking facilities
Broken shower - thought i might get an electric shock
good location cheap for location
Room dirty and dusty No reception More of a B&B than hotel Walked around for 15 minutes trying to find someone to let me check out
The state of the toilet have they never heard of BLEACH
Alan was lovely and it was lovely to see his family around a real family vibe! Breakfast was really nice too!!
Helpful staff basic but clean room
Quiet, but central location. Clean and friendly. I always feel comfortable and relaxed when I stay.
Good location, cheap, friendly staff
Shower was pretty useless
For a hotel there was no reception to get access to the premises we had to ring a bell and wait for staff to open door. We were shown 3 rooms the first the mattress needed replacing. The second had no shower The Third we excepted as this was the best of the 3 rooms. We asked for semi skimmed milk for breakfast and we were supplied with full fat milk. The hotel staff were not welcoming and did not make you feel welcome. The hotel could do with a major re decorate. There was lost if extension leads around the room for the different lights. The kettle had to be left on the floor to boil. For a hotel there was no reception area no bar or television area. This was more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel.
Difficulty with faulty television was dealt with as soon as we told the proprietor and a replacement was provided
Our priority was to find a hotel with wifi in the rooms. The wifi connected but was too slow to load any aps, Internet or email. Very, very disappointing.
good location.. quiet comfortable room
poor internet ..... smell of cigarette smoke odour in bathroom
Unclean never seen toilets so bad and disgusting even when asked to clean again, pillows stained would not sleep on them bed stained and room in need of updated smelt never stayed walked in and out again and paid upfront. Pictures on web site totally not like the hotel
The atmosphere the owner and his missus always find time to have a chat whatever your desire meal wise it was catered for very comfy bed
Just one thing toilet bowl could be cleaner but overall there was nothing I did not like
pleasant hotel nice location
The owner Alan was accommodating and friendly. space for car parking. lovely breakfast
