The Gervis Court is a typical Bournemouth hotel. It is also a Victorian home of great character, set in its own grounds. We have ample free forecourt parking and nestles amongst pine trees, only 2 minutes from the cliff top. Bournemouth Hotels. Over 100 years ago the Gervis Court was a typical family-run hotel in Bournemouth, originally called 'Leicester House'. On Sept 7th 1895 Lady Harriet Ponsonby and her maid plus Mrs General Faber and Mrs Morry were in residence. When Lady Ponsonby came there would have been only an odd carriage here and there; now you can park at the hotel, and enjoy the easy walk to town without parking problems. Close to the beach, pier and shops, bars and restaurants, the seafront, Bournemouth Pier, the center of town and Bournemouth International Centre, the hotel is quite literally only a short walk from everything Bournemouth has to offer. As one of the best hotels in Bournemouth, the Gervis Court prides itself on its well-maintained and presented gardens. The location was fantastic. The room was clean and spacious but basic. The breakfast was very good. It was very good value for money and was fine for three friends. Breakfast is only served between 8.15 and 9am, having said that it was very good. The bathroom did not have a lock but as we were three friends sharing a room this did not matter.

Perfect location for The Old Christchurch Road. We were a group of six on a mature Stag Do. It was the perfect place to stay for access to bars etc. It was a top trip all round. I would certainly recommend it.

Friendly staff and owner, but the first room was shabby, old fashioned with wallpaper peeling of the wall, shower facility not good, cramped and water temperature not consistant. Second room was at least value for money, bed rather small but a little better than the first room. Good breakfast and access in and out ofthe hotel good. As above shabby accommodation and inadequate showering facilities on first room. Second a little better.

I thought the tv was the best feature about the room. It was a large screen & had free view. I thought the price of the room, not including breakfast, was not value for money. The supposed free Wi-Fi was intermittent and because of this i constantly lost connection. The shower was very cramped, even though the bathroom was quite spacious & the shower head would not stay on the fitting.

The breakfast was excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly and it was easy to relax. The bedroom carpet could have done with a bit more cleaning and the room with moreTLC.

I was attending a show at the BIC, the hotel is located about half a mile away so is quite convienient. The hotel is only a one star hotel so therefore the expectations are not set high. I have stayed here on several occasions in the past and have always found the staff and accomodation to be very acceptable and helpful. Parking has never been a problem as they have a resonably sized car park of their own. My only critisism was that a additional bed side cabinet would be helpful as there is nowhere to place anything, ie glasses, watch and cup of tea. Had to place all this on the floor.

Location; friendly owners Tatty decor, had to hunt for a room that was ready for us on arrival at 4pm, piles of dirty laundry in the entrance hall, very hard bed, cramped ensuite, cat wandering around the dinning room so, presumably, the kitchen as well.

The location was excellent, close to the beach + town centre. The staff were polite and friendly. Nice breakfast + it was value for money. The only things that would have made our stay better would have been to have had a proper, built in shower and a door handle on the inside of the bathroom door but neither of which detered us from an enjoyable stay.

Convenience to my appointments in Post Office Street during Monday / Tuesday although not unique in this position of accessability Breakfast not available until "from 08.15am" not mentioned on website, as a business traveller I needed to leave at 07.15am to meet an appointment in the town, obliged to forfeit the extra £10.00 paid. Not impressed. Premises was clean, tidy but a little tired, no staff on site after checked in by individual, not aware if owner or employee, only saw for 5 minutes. Web site stated last room available, clearly only 2 other occupants in hotel, so 15+ rooms still available

NIce clean room, I was a bit concerned when I read the reviews regarding toilets being on the small side, not so in my case the toilet was as big as the bedroom, wifi password is on the doors inside the hotel, I found my stay at the Gervis Court Hotel nice and quite Only Complaint would be the noise from the power shower
